Yesterday I had a migraine made me feel quite ill . I literally ached from head to toe and did not know what to do with myself. I took some co codamol which just makes me sleep and feel groggy. I slept best part of the day and all night. My headache has gone but everything else still hurts. Yesterday I tried cold flannels from the freezer across my shoulders and back of neck which helped with the aching but again it is only short term relief. I was also wearing sunglasses indoors to help against the light.
I had to ring in sick yesterday and I felt quite bad as I have only been there 6 weeks. I had struggled at the beginning of the week to go in but just couldn’t do it yesterday. I can see this being a problem but what can I do. I told them I had fibromyalgia when I started .
Anyway everyone look after yourselves keep hydrated, we are all struggling so don’t feel that you are going through this alone x

This post is so familiar and I sympathise, these are just some of the symptoms we suffer with this condition. I have been off work since a bad flare up in April and TBH I have not had a single day since then that I would have been able to work through. I'm done with struggling through work with symptoms as it just snowballs and makes me very bad .
I hope you are having a better day today. 🙏I agree that work is such a struggle and the worry of being off sick is awful and no doubt makes the flares worse.
I can only manage to work 3 days now and thankfully have negotiated them being spread apart. So I work a mon, weds, fri . Every day I work I think, well at least I’m off tomorrow! Then I spend that non work day recovering, drs appts, physio etc. It’s not great as earning for only 3 days a week is bad. I’m wondering if I can get some support as I am unable to work full time due to fibromyalgia. Take care x
I was the same yesterday. Every muscle hurt and my migraine just got worse and worse. I couldnt sleep bc I've just started sleep restriction as part of my insomnia course. I was having panic attacks half the day bc I only managed 5 nights of sleep restriction and I've 3 days of migraine really feel like I'm not going to manage to stay on the course. Heat wave hasn't helped though!
