co-Trimoxazole
Has anyone been prescribed this and how did you get on with it? My husband had this prescribed to deal with a stubborn bacterial infection and took 2 x twice daily. He was given 2 months supply but after 6 weeks started to feel nauseous. Have now had to stop this medication and have a hospital follow

MichaelJH - An Update
Currently I am on my third different antibiotic,
Co
-
trimoxazole
, which has quite unpleasant side effects. It was looking slightly better today, but still very nasty, after a change to silver dressings from the previous iodine dressings.

Rash on leg
Hey everyone, As mentioned previously, my mum is awaiting radiotherapy and has decided to go ahead. She has had a horrendous cough now for nine weeks and had numerous courses of anti biotics, which cannot be great. She is currently taken her third course of cotrimoxazole, which have not done much. Haemophilus influenzae
I have had an unsuccessfully treated lung infection for a year, with HI(b) being one of the bacteria identified. I have taken five different antibiotics including cotrimoxazole, doxycycline and azithromycin (two of which I've taken two courses of). I have had a lung wash, CT scans, X-rays, I am prescribed

Prophylactics
Hi I have been on Acalabrutinib for two weeks now along with prophylactics, one being
Co
trimoxazole
, which I seemed to react to. I have now been offered Pentamidine, which I have read up on and don’t like the sound of plus it does not sound as if it protects as well.

Naproxen for fracture pain
I think I’ve had another fracture in lower back. GP referred me for urgent X-ray which takes 2 weeks. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen not doing much for pain and I’m extremely sore and stiff. Try to keep moving as sitting doesn’t do it any good at all. I’ve been prescribed Naproxen and Omeprazole and not

GP visit
Hi there. I've had PMR/GCA for 10 years which once diagnosed was reasonably managed until 2018 when having tapered to 3.5 mgs, I was told to stop Pred within a fortnight by my rheumatologist who was confident it had gone. The resulting flare was worse even than the initial onset and after a good deal

Has my PMR gone?
Diagnosed in 2015 and put on 20mg of Pred. Last year moved to Scotland where Rheumatologists do not deal with PMR they leave it to GP. I have lowered my dose of Pred to 4.5 . Since last Xmas I have been suffering with a trapped nerve in my back giving me pain in my left thigh like sciatica. The Dr
