My last Alt and AST were slightly raised and have since lowered but just had a GGT reading of 356!!! Only an occasional drinker but been on co-codamol, Oramorph, Sertraline for about 15years. Does anyone have any ideas? I used to have a problem with drink but not for last 9 years.

Hi,I had a GGT reading of 1389 - turned out to be a gallstone which had escaped gallbladder and was blocking my bile duct. I was getting bouts of severe pain in upper right quadrant. Don't know if this is helpful, but I would say that I was advised that raised GGT can have many causes, including certain medications. Maybe go back to your gp and ask for an explanation and further tests?

Hope you get it sorted soon 🙂

Could be related to the meds I’m on Prozac and it’s raising all my enzymes

Certainly need to seek expert advice and NOT the opinions of the Internet.

Has your doctor ordered any further tests to examine why you might have elevated GGT? It's possible it's your meds, an issue with bile duct or indeed possible fatty liver change.

You need some further investigations.
