Done and dusted.
Just to let you know the operation on my foot went very well and the surgeon is pleased. Have to wear a "boot" for 6 weeks - the first 2 weeks day and night. I call it my Manola Blahnik. It is large, heavy and cumbersome and makes you lopsided but did manage to wash my hair yesterday without toppling

CNS Vasculitis - Stopping medication
It's just coming upto 4 years ago since I was diagnosed with CNSV. I me with my consultant last month, who suggested that it maybe time for me to wean off of the meds as I have had no flares. He said he'd discuss it with my rheumatologist in Oxford and to carry on taking the drugs until I hear differently

What meds for pain relief with PBC
Can anyone say what meds we can use. I have read numerous posts, but everyone seems to have different ideas. ie. Paracetamol, ibroprufen, tramadol , co-codamol. Have read yes and no for all of them. Do we really know?

I am new to group, but having read all info on nhs I believe symptoms suggest fybromyalgia how do I get a diagnosis?
My gp and physio have been treating me for a trapped nerve in my neck but I have never been convinced that this is the problem. I have been prescribed gabapentin, naproxen and dyhydracodiene m/r and also sertraline for mild depression previous to this episode starting.... previously have had amitriptylene

If you don't take any painkillers, does it make my body/brain damage?
It is strange question. I know. I don't think I can go without any painkillers now. However, when I keep taking painkillers and when those painkillers are getting stronger I feel a bit scary that if they get my body/brain damage. But on the other hand, would these severe pain we have, does these damage

Pain management while on blood thinners
Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I've suffered with neck spasms a few times an usually get them sorted in a few days with diazepam, paracetamol and ibuprofen, along side gentle neck exercise and hot and cold compresses. The docs said that the idea was to trick the body

Morphine and other painkillers
I am now on 20mg of Morphine, 12 hour slow release for about a month and I am in so much pain. I was taken off co-codamol due to high level fatty liver, which has now come down to 92 reading. does anyone take the above and painkillers as the morphine doesn't touch the pain I forgot to mention I take

Recently diagnosed with under active thyroid at start of jan. I have now asked for copy of blood test results.
However, I have been taking 100mcg levo thyroxine for four weeks and still have the same severe symptoms. The main ones are extreme tiredness, inability to concentrate, speech occasionally slurring, constipation and muscle pain that co-codamol is having zero effect on. Everything is aching so bad.

The long awaited birth story!
Hey guys I haven't got a picture yet but will upload another post when I can. So Wednesday 29th Jan was babys due date and we awoke at 3am that morning to horrific contractions. I tried co-codamol to ease them, a bath, a walk and nothing seemed to work. So phoned del suite at 6am and they promised

Have been unwell for past 18 months with fatigue, weight loss, anemia, joint and muscle pain. For the past 8 months I have had headaches,
blurry vision, jaw/nose/facial pain. Was on high dose pred, now on 10mg pred and just increased MTX to 25mg. I don't have a diagnosis other than " something auto immune ". My ESR and CRP are moderately raised, ANCA is negative. I have attended the vasculitis clinic in Aberdeen once. I was told there

Have been on and off Prednisolone since last February but am also recovering from Mumps and started Methotrexate on Monday. Feel terrible.
Face is totally swollen, eyes have hoods, glands are still swollen from Mumps ( had a scan yesterday to confirm this) am exhausted, dizzy at times, have headaches, have developed mouth ulcers today and keep having to lie down. Have also been wheezy this week but this has improved over the last couple
