CLL survival times ARE improving, thanks to BTK and BCL-2 inhibitors
Many of us were shocked after our CLL/SLL diagnosis when we googled for survival times. Hopefully we subsequently read that search engine information from Google, Bing, etc., is way out of date, due to the fact that with CLL being a chronic disease, the relatively long survival times with this

okay, but not really
So, lately, I've been feeling okay... but at the same time, I feel anxious and depressed, and I started hurting myself again. I don't like it I don't want to keep doing it but drowning my sorrows in liquor and pot isn't working anymore and the doctor wont give me anything to help. The voice just gets

Checking in after 3 years
I've been MIA on here- I got busy with life, my husband and I got our own home and I started a new job. Things started to look up and I crawled out of a long deep depression. I've been feeling good the last few years. I remember last I was on here I was struggling with anxiety and having a hard time

Update on meds
Hi guys. So I started buspirone again but this time I decided to stick with it instead of coming off of it(i have a hard time w meds cuz of my anxiety) and I've been on it for a total of 8 days now. I definitely notice a difference. I started really low, 5 MG a day because of my sensitivity to side effects

Gut health(gross)
Anyone ever try to "reset" their gut? I have kind of dull gut pain a lot of the time. I always have nasty gas. I know the gut microbiome is supposedly linked with your brain and anxiety and all that so I am posting here. I used to eat protein bars or cookies with sugar alcohols and stevia but I have

Anecdotal, but running could boost immunity
I am reading a lovely book of essays called These Precious Days by Ann Patchett. In the title essay a friend of the author is taking part in a clinical trial, having chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer. As you will know, Chemo destroys white blood cells which provide immunity, so you have to have a high

I'm excited to be leaving for The International PBC Summit in Edinburgh the end of next week. I'll be bringing back as much information to you as I can about research being done for the cause of PBC, itching and fatigue. All of these issues have impacted all of our lives to some degree. Coming off Citalopram / Antidepressants
Hi, I've just found this site today, I'm hoping to get some insight so if you feel like replying I would appreciate it. I have been taking citalopram for 6 years and am on 40mg. Finding an antidepressant and dose that worked I remember was a really horrible and difficult time so I fear having to do

slow release liothyronine
Like many people on here I miss the wise opinion and knowledge of Diogenes enormously. I know he was working on the formulation of a slow release liothyronine which was in clinical trial. Does anyone have an update on this? is it any closer? In the meantime I am tempted to try sustained release compounded

Cataract removal
I had a cataract removed on Friday last and make the stupid mistake of putting the wrong post op drops in my eye. I had to ring the emergency services and between them and my daughter I managed to get to the emergency room. They sluiced my eye out after administering antiseptic and rang the consultant
