Continuing Healthcare
Hi all. Just wondering if anyone on here that has CBD or a loved one with the condition has been refused continuing healthcare funding. We’re currently awaiting the result of my dads assessment. Thanks

So after suffering from breathlessness for 3 years or more and being told by lung consultant that it was due to putting on a bit of weight I paid privately to see a cardiologist!!! He looked at my notes from the lung specialists and saw that they’d fine Ct scans with & without contrast and that nothing

UPDATE for all you lovely people out there who were kind enough to send support at a tough time. Firstly, just to let you know I’m recovering very well from the spine surgery, all healing nicely and to plan. I spoke to the cardiologist this morning. After using Flec twice a day, plus as PiP on Saturday

AFIB and CBD use????
I am 57 and in relatively good shape. I have serious restless leg syndrome and on January 2nd started taking a full spectrum CBD gummy at night for sleep help. After about 2 weeks I noticed that the RLS had significantly subsided and I was getting better and better sleep. Then right after 2 weeks

raised blood pressure and NDT- what to do?
I started on NDT in Sept 2022 and felt great within a fortnight after nine months of levo doing nothing for me and about 8 years of undiagnosed hypothyroidism steadily getting worse. My blood pressure has always been a normal 120/80 or thereabouts. In January, I got asked in the street by a health promotion

Other HealthUnlocked groups
Trying to find out if there are any groups for AF,
CKD
and AMD for my parents. Can't seem to find any way to navigate to other groups.

Afib and ejection fraction
Can the ejection fraction be lowered because of afib?? Ended up with it 4yrs ago after covid like illness which they said was pneumonia because hadn't become known at that point but all my symptoms were identical & i ended up in icu for 10days. I don't have any symptoms (flutters or pounding) & can walk

Would You Recommend a pure CBD Gummy/Oil For Insomnia/Myoclonus, or a THC CBD variant?
I have seen a couple of people in the RLS community say that in addition to various meds (pregabalin, gabapentin), they also take indica gummies with a few mg of cbd to assist with sleeping and muscle twitching/myoclonus/plms. For those who have had success in not only sleeping but suppressing these

Blood thinners...
Hi everyone, I've made comment a good few times over the years, I have PAF about 3/4 times a year and always at night when having eaten too late in the day which I now try to avoid doing at all costs by not eating after 1700 and it most definitely works for me. But my 'beef' today is related to blood

An indicator in the blood could guide lupus treatment
A clinical trial (called “BEAT-Lupus”) has found that using a combination of two biologic treatments, rituximab and belimumab, may be more effective than using rituximab alone in patients who have not responded well to other treatment. They also found that people with a particular indicator in their

Subclinical Hyper / RAI induced Hypo & CBD oil?
Hello all, Getting confused - As a subclinical Hyperthyroid / RAI induced Hypothyroid person - Is it ok to take CBD oil? Have just started taking it twice a day (leaving a 4 hr gap between taking my Levothyroxine) - 1pm 2 sprays and 11pm 2 sprays - to help with occasional bouts of anxiety/insomnia

Feeling drained with NHS where I live
Hello everyone, so I have stage 4 emphysema and I am currently on ambulatory oxygen mainly for when I'm out and about, and for use at home if needed. My problem is that last time I was admitted to hospital, I was told that I was being referred for zephyr lung valve treatment. This was months go. I originally

GP’s and meds (Losartan and Lercanadipine) !!
I despair! the surgery advised me on Monday that they thought the Losartan was causing a decrease in my sodium level (127). They suggested I try Lercanadipine instead. I took the first one this morning and my pulse rate went mad all morning and my BP dropped quite a bit. I contacted the surgery &

Effect of exercise on thyroid blood tests?
Just wondering, what effect have people noticed on their blood tests if exercising the day before/same day/other time? SlowDragon has previously shared that the ideal time for thyroid blood tests is just before 9am, and I'm wondering if exercising should also be taken into account? https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Low blood pressure
I have GCA with Takayasu Arteritis. I am taking Clopidogrel/ Atorvastatin/ Bisoprolol/ Tocilizumab (3 monthly), yesterday my blood pressure was 92/80. It was taken at the hospital as the doctor’s surgery can’t find it, or my pulse. I emailed my Dr with the result, and she rang me today. I told her I
