Subclinical Hyper / RAI induced Hypo & CBD oil?

Hello all,

Getting confused -

As a subclinical Hyperthyroid / RAI induced Hypothyroid person - Is it ok to take CBD oil?

Have just started taking it twice a day (leaving a 4 hr gap between taking my Levothyroxine) - 1pm 2 sprays and 11pm 2 sprays - to help with occasional bouts of anxiety/insomnia.

Any negative effects from people taking CBD oil and Levo?

Organic CBD oil - Beginner dose

250mg1.8mg

SprayRecommended dose: 1 - 2 sprays up to 3 x a day.

My thyroid levels:

TSH <0,0083 * mU/L. (0,3 - 4,2)

T4 - 6,6 (5.5 - 11)

T3 - 1,0 (0.7 - 2 )

So my T3 is within a good range even though my TSH is super low.

Any advise would be much appreciated.

Thanks 😊

Hello again:

Did you ever try NDT when we last spoke a year ago ?

How are your vitamins and minerals now - especially your ferritin as I think I remember it very low.

Since you have had RAI thyroid ablation your TSH is a very unreliable measure of anything and you need to be dosed on your Free T3 and Free T4 readings :

How much Levothyroxine are you taking ?

We generally feel at our best when our Free T4 is in the top quadrant of the range as this should, in theory, convert to a good level of Free T3 at least over 50% through it's range.

So are these results with Free T3 and Free T4 readings ?

as your T4 is at just 20% through it's range with your T3 is coming in at just 23% :

Please check this out as I'm second guessing myself -

Your T3 is just 3 digits into a range of 13 digits isn't it - how can that be considered good ?

These results look very low to me and wonder how you are feeling ?

Hi - great memory! 😊

I never ended up trying NDTs because the naturopath suggested I didn’t need it as my T3 levels were within range but this was last year. I have reverted to 100mcg of Levo/daily.

My ferritin levels go up and down - was pleased to reach 34 but am now back at 13 (as of my last blood test Nov ‘ 22)

Recently, have been feeling a little anxious and haven’t been sleeping well. So thought I would just try out CBD oil.

Hope all is well ;)

No thyroid hormone replacement works well until ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D are up and maintained t optimal levels -

I don't know about Spain but your ferritin level for the UK is dire and needs investigating and likely an iron infusion if nothing untoward found.

Good point - I need to get my iron levels up quicker - it’s taking too long. Thanks again 🙏
