Hi all. Just wondering if anyone on here that has CBD or a loved one with the condition has been refused continuing healthcare funding. We’re currently awaiting the result of my dads assessment. Thanks

Hi, my husband has PSP. We applied for CHC 4 years ago, seventh year into his illness, but was refused. We reapplied 2 years ago and as his condition deteriorated, he was accepted. So, I would suggest that you try again if he is refused it this time. Keep a note of all infections, falls, calls for help to the health professionals etc. all the best.

my husband was refused chc as he did not get the right amount of points but as you say you must keep a note of all illnesses for a later date, he then fell and broke his hip so there was no going back chc had to pay in the end, his days were then confined to bed and chair for twelve months until a chest infection took him.
