hi I’m 51 I’ve had two mini strokes in last six months, I had an echocardiogram the results showed impaired left ventricular systolic function- heart failure. I also only have one kidney and that has deteriorated to a function of 54% I feel the specialist have left me in limbo, I have angina and feel so tired mentally and physically. Anyone else have this condition?

hi there,

I don’t have your condition but do have heart disease and other health issues that make me feel physically and mentally drained so I kinda get where you are coming from.

What helps me is self massage with oils, relaxing music and drawing/writing and meditation.

Not a panacea for all ills but maybe worth trying one or two? Be nice to yourself and use everything you can at your disposal to feel better. Wish you well, all the best.

thank you so much for your reply. I do meditation and put my candles on.

Still waiting to see or hear from cardiologist, could be a while I waited five months for echocardiogram after my TIA lol hope your doing well.

Take care x

Hi again Holistic

Thanks for your kind words. I forgot to mention QiGong, it’s a gentle exercise method can be done standing or seated.

Search for ‘Jeff Chand’ on YT and you’ll see his free videos, anything from 5m to an hour.

He’s a great teacher and I’m sure you’ll like him and his videos! All the best, take care,

Hi Holisticang, You have quite a bit going on, so it's no surprise you're feeling tired and probably frustrated.

I have LVSD and been on meds for over 12months now which has helped, the meds don't seem to be affecting my Kidneys too much, my eGFR is currently 36, but it's been lower. From my most recent Echo the EF was 45-50% which is an improvement from last year.

Hopefully, you'll see a Cardio soon and they'll get to the cause of the LVSD, and have the relevant treatment. Sometimes it doesn't help when your in the care of different consultants, I've found that out myself.

Hang in there and take care.
