Achey stiffness but no pain.
Hi Everyone, I’m 20 weeks off pred and still on 3.5 weekly TCZ injections. I have noticed, after awakening from the relatively pain free world of prednisolone, that I am almost never without some sort of muscle soreness or mild stiffness. I do not have pain, thank heavens, but if you can remember

Not sure if I am happy...
Initially I was pleased that my dose of prednisolone was down to 3mg daily after 5 years. However I am feeling that the prednisolone has been masking arthritic problems in my neck and my knees. I take ibuprofen for costochondritis which also seems to help my neck but not my knees. So, should I think

Should I increase my Pred dose?

Feeling unwell after reducing Prednisolone from 10 to 9mg
I was diagnosed with PMR in May and commenced 10mg Predisolone. After 6 days I felt amazing. I reduced this to 9 mg after 4 weeks as instructed but after 3days the pain was so intense I couldn’t cope. My rheumatologist advised going back to 10mg which I have done. After 3 days the pain is now controlled

Spoke to my GP who is reluctant to change anything. On 40mg of Prednisolone and I am to reduce it to 30mg tomorrow

Does higher elevations enhance PMR symptoms?
Every time I visit my son in Colorado at a 5-6k feet elevation I seem to have difficulty after a couple days. On prednisone (5mg) I feel 5/10 lower extremity discomfort. Without predinisone I would rated it around 8/10. Always in the lower extremities.

Progress on dental implant
Good morning everyone I had the implant yesterday, took an extra 2 milligrams of Prednisolone to deal with the stress of it all. Told the Dentist about my additional challenges with the AF and he was singularly unfazed. The appointment was for an hour and a half so I was delighted when he told me

This month I was diagnosed with severe RA ,with a sudden onset four months ago. Treatment so far is Enbrel and prednisone. I'm working on tapering off the prednisone, and now

Hi all after 4 years relatively free of PMR it’s back with a vengeance, the only difference now is I’m taking blood pressure medication as it’s increased in the last couple of years together with pre diabetes. My question is , is it safe to take prednisone with these changes in my health conditions

I was diagnosed with PMR in July 2019. Started on 20 mg prednisone and began the long tapering. One flare went up to 5 mg and then tapered all the way down to 2 5mg. Last week became concerned with symptoms that could be GCA. Jaw pain, dry cough, fatigue, tenderness in the back of neck, no headache but

Good morning fellow Lupies! I was hoping for some opinions please. I recently accepted a new 12 week temp job (with the possibility to go perm later) and was due to start tomorrow. However, I started feeling unwell yesterday and woke up feeling worse and with a temperature and tested positive for Covid

accidently took only one 1mg pill prednisone yesterday am, felt good all day
This am made sure I took 3mg. I am thinking of trying to alternate at 2 and 3 mg daily now in a few days. I am a tiny bit stiffer feeling this am than usual. I have also mostly stopped the Ibuprofen and substituting 3 aspirins. Think since it thins the blood might help with hand circulation.

Timing of taking prednisolone
I do a yoga class on Mondays and because it starts at 9.30 and I have been taking pred with my breakfast around 8.00, I'm still stiff in my neck and hips. So, having read your advice here about the inflammation starting up in the wee hours, I decided to take 5mg of the 6.5 I take when I woke for the
