I had the implant yesterday, took an extra 2 milligrams of Prednisolone to deal with the stress of it all. Told the Dentist about my additional challenges with the AF and he was singularly unfazed. The appointment was for an hour and a half so I was delighted when he told me it would take three quarters. Then followed lots of lovely local then cutting and drilling. Fortunately I took myself back to my cabana and imagined myself in Montenegro. It wasn’t too traumatic and the post is in. I went back to bed and today, other than a slightly puffy face, I am fine which is just as well as I am taking 52 geriatric fun lovers from U3A to the Black Country Museum tomorrow The dentist said it would be ok to go. What isn’t ok is I have to wait until September for my tooth and he said to try not to wear the plate. So it’s the much sort after Hobo look for me!
Seriously for those who are contemplating an implant it really isn’t too bad compared to some of the other challenges we have
Take care

I can’t see from your Bio if you have taken AA or not, but I guess high dose Pred you would have been advised to do so. I ask of course in relation to dental implant.
Thank you Jane. They all loved it. Lots of walking but the sun was shining.
Trouble was while it was history for most people it was nostalgia for me!
Feel ok today other than a nice bruise on my face which looks like the dentist punched me and forgot whether I took the roids, my usual technique at remembering isn’t working so I have had to take them possibly twice. Oh well might be running around like a Duracell Bunny
