Hello

Help i need hope or help. Im from Denmark 38 years old. Sorry if my english is bad. Me and my husband have Been trying with double donation and donor eggs for 7 years after some time trying with our own dna. But out of 9 transfers with double donation with 3 diffrent egg/sperm donors we have only had 2 chemicals and 1 blighted ovum .. im devestated.. broken and broke from all the cost of donor eggs .. i have had a hydroskopi with biopsi. Scratching , embryo glue. Ton off bloodwork for all between thyreoid and lupus , trombophilia and so on everything looks normal. Had a swap for bakteriel vaginose but came back normal. Always have thick lining 8-12 , and Got my progesterone checked out was High on 4x lutinus a day.. we are considering a full microbiome panel check at fertilys it cost 600 euro but i need some hope. Im so depressed have anyone Been through so much and then it happened also with unexsplained infertillity ??? I tried one transfer with prednisone it did not work.. what Can we do? Im very stressed and anxious do you Think infertillity Can be a mind / body issue?

the fact that it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it will never happen. Just wanted to wish you the best of luck x

just wanted to wish you the best of luck! Are they checking the sperm to make sure there isn’t any DNA fragmentation? Praying they find the best protocol for you!!!

I feel your pain. We are in IVF number 5 with donor egg and using a surrogate.

Wishing you the best

Hi, would you mind me asking how you started on the surrogate route? We’ve tried own eggs, and 2 rounds of donor with a chemical and blighted ovum and have some frozen eggs banked but surrogate is an option we may need to explore in the future. I’ve been trying to find some info for services in uk but it hasn’t been easy. Are you able to inbox me? Thanks so much.

We use donor eggs but not a surrugate i would like a surrugate but it cost like a million Danish i Think its lige 150.000 pounds for a surrugate in the US we Can never afford that in Ukraine its the half but we Can never afford that either

hiya I’m sorry to hear you are going through this. I had 4 transfers with double donor. 1 bfn 2 chemical then the final one is our daughter.

Between the 3rd and 4th transfer I did era, Alice and Emma tests they check for bacteria, infection in the womb. And the best time to transfer. It came back saying I needed an extra day of progesterone so transfer needed to be on day 6 not day 5. We followed this protocol and the next transfer worked. We also had all embryos pgta tested for chromosomal abnormalities. Even though they were double donor a number came back abnormal. I hope you are ok xxx

I'm not sure if you are based in the UK but I was prescribed sitagliptin for recurring implantation failure through the clinic based at Warwick/Coventry university bearing the same name (you can self refer). The drug has been proven helpful for recurring miscarriages and they are testing their hypothesis on whether it helps recurring implantation failure. I used it for my first donor egg transfer and I am nearly 15 weeks pregnant - I don't know if it was the drugs or the donor but I feel like it helped! We also chose our donor based on the fact she'd had 4 children already, we didn't know at the time but found out later she was 31 yrs which i think might have put me off if I'd known that when we were selecting but actually shouldn't have done as she clearly has lots of viable eggs!!

Good luck!

Hi Sheldonmycat, so sorry to hear that you’re having a difficult journey too. The fact that you can get pregnant even if with chemical pregnancy and blighted ovum is really a good sign. Maybe you just have to find the right donor for egg/sperm and once you’ve done that, maybe get your embryo PGD tested as there is a high chance of successful pregnancy. Wishing you all the best of luck and baby dust to you ✨❤️

We have experienced very similar. Tried round after round with own eggs then moved to donor. We’ve had 2 double transfers and had a blighted ovum (I ended up in hospital having to have an operation) then a chemical. Good odds with the donor but didn’t go to full term pregnancy.

We have new donor eggs banked to try again at some point! I have had lots of tests over the years too plus a whole host of meds tried over various cycles, including prednisolone tablets and injectable progesterone. The next transfer they have added progesterone earlier in the cycle as I was tested on both the last 2 transfer days plus after getting a positive pregnancy result and the levels were low which can contribute to miscarriage .

It’s hard going isn’t it, finding the energy to keep going and keeping positive. I do think it’s a numbers game, some people get lucky early on.

Wishing you good luck for the future.

Sending u hugs.

Have you considered a more indepth immune treatment? Know you tried prednisolone, but what are your thoughts on intralipids?

We are in Denmark the doctors here dont do immune stuff really but we have considered more testing abroad but if i dont have an auto immune sickness why should the immune system do This i dont really understand .. if i need itralipids i should travel for it to another country every time i dont Think we Can afford it :-(

OK.. I understand. I have tried for 10 years transferring pgta tested embryos and done all the other treatments you have mentioned, with miscarriage and implantation failures.I eventually tested for natural killer cells (which I demanded) and found put they were high. I have no auto immune illness. But high nk affects implantation

My first time using intralids and 14wks pregnant with twins.

Wish you all the best on your journey. Hope you get your bfp next transfer.

Baby dust to you
