weaning off Fentanyl patches
I am on 25mcg Fentanyl patches for pain caused by a compression fracture on my T10 vertebrae due to radiation treatment for metastatic prostate cancer. I have been on painkillers for about 12 months now, beginning with morphine etc which caused intense constipation. I began about 9 months ago on 12 mcg

Microvessel angina or vasospastic disease
I had migraines for most of my adult life. They became a daily problem for me. In November of 2012 I started having heart pain which caused a heart attack and was misdiagnosed as having a classisc heart attack and was put on Beta blockers which exaserbated the problem. At the same time I was diagnosed

Does anyone have any direct experience of Targinact?
Hi Everyone, this is my first post but I've been reading everything on this forum for a while now. I'm in real trouble with augmentation after taking ropinirole for 11 years. I successfully tapered off and was completely free of it by April 2023, however the RLS remained severe, and in October I decided

Heavy bleeding Mirena
My
chronic
pelvic
pain
has definitely gotten so much better since starting the mirena where I have such a better overall quality of life and can pace myself opposed to being stuck in bed all day when a period or ovulation.

Should I get formally diagnosed?
Here is a bit of by background. 2 years ago I had to retire from my career (I was a maths teacher and deputy head of a school) as I had suffered for years with extreme fatigue,
chronic
pain
, brain fog etc., to the point of becoming housebound. In the end I was diagnosed with ME/CFS.

Update: x-ray shock 😲
Just an update after my bood test shower hf.I am still waiting on the echo. I was to have a chest x-ray. I mentioned back pain so I got both done. Chest x-ray was fine. The back x-ray was late!! Mmm Turns out I have a blocked artery in my left hip. Along with the heart meds, I also now am given aspirin

Aspirin-induced gastritis and gastrointestinal bleeding
I haven’t taken an 81 mg coated aspirin every day for 18 years. Last month my doctor noticed that my iron level had dipped down to 16 from 64 in previous years. She suggested that I was having internal bleeding. Over the last couple years I’ve lived with stomach pain. Often just a two out of 10

worth a read
Good evening all. As a CMT 1a from birth but not diagnosed until mid 40s.. Had both ankles realigned and one rebuilt, taking painkillers until they come out of my arse. Have in the past six months met a new woman in my life and she has really helped in looking into all different aspects of this shitty

Lower Back Pain
Hello, I have suffered from lower back pain for years on and off, having MRI Scans, physio sessions, taking pain killers. This year the pain never goes away. The MRI Scan shows dehydrated bulging discs at L4 & L5. I exercise and walk. I really struggle to bend down and sit for over 10 minutes.

Travel advice on flights with a little one
I'm trying to keep my expectations very, very low in the hopes that it will be better than I expect, but I've had
chronic
back
pain
for about 15+ years and while it hasn't steamrolled me completely, I'm quite flattened by it. I had two surgeries to fix the pain, but sadly it only made it worse.

Gall bladder surgery
I was hospitalised last June for 10 days as I had an infected gall bladder and scans showed I had a large gall stone.I was put on intravenous antibiotics and pain killers. Fast forward 7 months and no further problems I had a phone call from the hospital giving me a date of 5th February for surgery

back from hospital
I am now going to see the
pain
clinic for
chronic
pain
. I use a crutch and just got my disabled badge. Is there anything I should be asking the pain clinic for please? My main problem is debilitating pain from my conditions. The meds don’t seem to do anything for me now.

Don't believe all my pain is due to pain syndrome
I have been trying to reassure myself that its just
chronic
pain
but it makes no difference. The pain levels definitely aren't linked to my mood.

Sugar Alcohols Ruined My Health: Learn from My Mistakes
Given the number of members who are intolerant to Teva levothyroxine, this video might be of some interest. Many suspect it is the mannitol content of Teva levothyroxine that lies behind the intolerance. After all, there were also many complaints around the world as Merck have slowly move from lactose
