”CONFUSED” UPDATE
Well, I increased my Pred to 9 mg for 5 days but didn’t go straight back to my previous dose (4.5mg) but went to 6mg. So far the flu-type symptoms have gone but I still have a low-grade headache, plus pain in both shoulders and in the neck. I have tried taking paracetamol but this only has minimal

Some good Clonoseq results
I just wanted to share that I received some positive news from Clonoseq blood test. This is a blood test for MRD. It did not detect any CLL. So, my doctor has scheduled a bone marrow biopsy to do further testing. If that too comes back negative, I will be able to go off treatment. I started my

WBC rising
After 2 years in remission post B+R my white count is starting to go up. In Aug. it was 7.925, Dec 8 was 11.78, and last week was 15.05. I have to go for another CBC next week. I am also noticing periods of feeling a little out of breath with little exertion. I'm scared that this might be heading

CLL Staging
Hello. My husband, Simon, was diagnosed with CLL several years ago and has been closely monitored. On his last visit to his consultant he was told that he needs to start treatment. Either Rituximab or Venetoclax. My husband is always dismissive of his condition and does not want to discuss with me

hi, I’ve had RA for about 13 years. Well managed recently with Erelzi…prior to this I was on humira and had to switch to Imtaldi, biosimilar due to my hospital suggestions as it was cheaper. mot wasn’t as effective and it took months to get back on an even keel and be well managed again! now I’m

A tip for Australians with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia trying to access pneumococcal vaccination through the National Immunisation Program
What a morning I've had to get my third pneumococcal vaccine. I'll share the details here as the solution I found could help others with CLL in Australia who are having difficulty accessing these vaccines through the National Immunisation Program (NIP). In Australia, since 1 July 2020, it's standard

I think it’s all over 😢
After having a miracle BFP from a natural conception following our first failed round of ICSI I think I’m having a miscarriage and feel so heartbroken. I couldn’t believe it when I tested positive after my period didn’t come - it just seemed too good to be true… and now I think I’m losing it at 5 and

Hi, I got diagnosed endo last summer and since then I am taking the mini pill, one per day, for anout 5months. I have irregular bleeding, but no regular periods, sporadic pain which I am dealing with pain killer. The frequency of severe pain seems less, but still quite often I have pain in the morning

Trigger warning - miscarriage at 5/6 weeks
I found out yesterday that my FET has not been as successful as I thought, and at 6 weeks my HCG levels are dropping and the scan revealed the pregnancy isn’t viable. I have been told to stop my meds and wait for nature to take its course. I wondered if anyone has been through something similar, and

Decided to opt out of at home hospice after six weeks
I feel good. I do not even feel sick. I still am on strong pain meds, but I no longer need the walker (the enhertu infusion from hell). The nurse comes twice a week at first and I said No, not necessary. So they cut it down to once a week. It is ridiculous. The nurse writes to her boss (the doctor

Rapid onset of burning in joints at rest and worse when moving
My conditions are in my bio (plus a new one… granulamatosis angiitis of the brain and cns). I’ve had pain in some of my joint (hands and feet) that are easily attributed to swelling and nerve damage. Nothing new there. But over the past month I started feeling burning in most of my major joints (shoulders

Am I being paranoid?
Hi everyoneI'm currently 14dp5dt and am panicking. On day 9, I got a BFP and my hcg was 140. I had this repeated on day 12 (Mon) and it had risen to 551. Good numbers. A scan has been booked for 26/6 (7w3d) Today, when I went to the loo, on 2 occasions I had 2 tiny tissue like beads when I wiped. No

Pain in right hip and leg
I have been getting pain & tingling in my right hip and leg since June 2022. I though it was sciatica at first but when I went to my GP she sent me for an MRI which showed Spinal Stenosis. No amount of pain killers help & still waiting for physio. GPS has suggested Amiltripline, has anyone used

What level should CA125 be after total hysterectomy & bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy?
I had both a total hysterectomy and both ovaries removed in 2012 after years of severe endometriosis, recurrent ovarian cysts (some diagnosed as being borderline) and
chronic
pelvic
pain
which spanned for many years.
