How to request test for chromosome 17p deletion, TP 53 mutation; unmutated immunoglobulin heavy chain variable region (IgHV) in Canada?
We live in Brampton, Ontario in Canada. My wife diagnosed with CLL in Dec 2020. We did not have the opportunity to talk to a hematologist in person and appointment only by phone and the Hematologist said it is CLL and nothing to be worried just the w & w situation. When I start questioning further

Thank you everyone for your repsonses, I am most grateful for your taking time to respond. It's almost a relief to know that I am not alone in finding water vapour in the bathroom, and the outdoors an issue. I am not sure whether that this is something that the medical profession are aware of, or even

Does green tea extract (EGCG can) reduce WBC in CLL?
I have read some positive things about green tea extract to treat CLL so our Hematologist said just W & W but we could not stop and search about the CLL and its alternative methods of treatment from food and tea etc. Finally, we found that EGCG is useful to reduce the WBC or postpone development symptoms

Topamax
Hi, I'm new here! So I've been suffering with migraines for decades and have been on numerous medications I'd recently asked to try nurtec and while my doctor agreed by insurance is fighting it. He gave me samples and has added Topamax to my medication list and day 1 without me realizing it was because

1st IVF cycle
Hey everyone, I am new here. I need some hopefully good news but of course the truth. This is my first IVF cycle. We got 8 eggs and 8 embryos. Only 6 made it too blastocyst. We transferred one on 4/12 and the others were frozen. Everything was going great until 6dp5dt. I started bleeding. Nothing like

Passive vaping: an impending threat to bystanders.
Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), also known as vapes, are gaining popularity among youths in many parts of the world, including the US and Europe. These young vapers are often unaware their e-cigarettes contain nicotine, an addictive substance that is also present in tobacco cigarettes. Little

Chlorambucil
I had Chlorambucil along with Rituximub infusions which put me in remission for 2 years. The only side effects were nausea. They tried me initially on Obinutzumib but I had anaphylaxis and it was terminated. Hope this helps. Jan x

Antibody test
I just got my 2nd covid vaccination, Moderna. I would like to get an antibody test in a few weeks to make sure it did the job since they don't know yet whether the vaccine will work with CLL. Has anyone else done/ considered this idea? Is it even feasible?

Migraine 3rd MRI-waiting for results (the long game)
Had my 3rd Head MRI the other day. Booked to discuss the findings with my neurologist in a couple of weeks. Yet weirdly I can't stop thinking of the possible results. My previous scans showed a 1.9cm Pineal cyst. I saw the scan and couldn't even see my pineal gland. It could have grown or shrunk or completely

Cerebral APS just getting worse a rant
Hi all needed a rant as am really struggling. I have not slept properly for about two weeks. Prof D Cruz diagnosed my numb hands as Thoracic Outlet Syndrome but having read up on this a lot I’m not so sure. I am waking up every half hour or so with my hands and lower arms numb regardless of how I sleep

Bleeding before 6 weeks update- bad news
5weeks and 5 days, bleeding was heavy and clotty so went to A+E. HCG levels were only about 1400 (which is the near the minimum HCG for 6 weeks but it was like 980 at my last hcg check 2 weeks ago so levels have obviously stopped doubling some time ago, or have fallen from whatever the peak was). Headache caused by Ozium air sanitizer spray-will I be ok??
My roommate sprayed Ozium disinfectant aerosol spray which is Triethylene Glycol and Propylene Glycol and some other chemicals (isopronol) about 30 minutes before I came in the room and I noticed the room smelled really strongly and I had a mild irritation in my throat/eyes. CAPD and PAIN
Hi My First post here, sorry if I screw up. I had a standard CAPD line inserted and then all training and a Baxter machine to receive APD. But the line never worked very well. The doctors decided that it was because I am so tall (6'2" is not that unusual?) Anyway the faulty line was removed and a
