My roommate sprayed Ozium disinfectant aerosol spray which is Triethylene Glycol and Propylene Glycol and some other chemicals (isopronol) about 30 minutes before I came in the room and I noticed the room smelled really strongly and I had a mild irritation in my throat/eyes. I left the building after a couple minutes because the scent was bothering me. He later told me he was just supposed to spray it for a few seconds but sprayed it for around 30 seconds. I had a headache and some mild nausea after being in the room for just a couple minutes so I went outside. Was this dangerous or am I just experiencing normal irritation that isn't a cause for concern?

You will be ok
Many chemicals that we use for cleaning or making the air smell fresh can easily give you a headache or cause nausea. I can’t ever clean with anything bleach related as I get sicker than ever. Last year I got a gift of a small Sentsy air freshener that smelled like a Christmas fragrance and I sprayed 2 short bursts in my office at work. It didn’t bother me but my boss couldn’t come within 100 feet of my office door. Made him sick. Your response to the chemical sounds totally normal.
