Migraine aura anxiety
I used to get bad migraines with aura about 15 years ago. My doctor thought they were caused by my birth control, so I switched and didn't have any more. Until last week. I've been on a new pill for about 4 months, not sure if that's causing it or if it's the awful stress I've been under lately (breakup

Second beta test is today!
This is going to be a nail-biting few week for me, for sure. My second beta is today and I'm so afraid that it will not show an increase in the HCG. I have to go in at 1pm, the same time I went in two days ago. I don't know if I'll get the results later today or tomorrow. I was in denial for most of

*sensitive* OTD results are in and it's BFP!!! Over 40s success!
I can't believe this is happening to me. I was CONVINCED that it had not worked. My HCG was 637 yesterday. The test was yesterday but I got results today. My doctor said that was just fine. I'm going in again for another beta test tomorrow, and then again a week after that. I don't even know what to

Visual Migraines and AF
Does anyone know if there is a link between AF and visual migraines? Many people here report having the latter following an ablation. I first started getting visual migraines (which generally last about 20-25 minutes) at the end of 2017 (about 8 months before being diagnosed with AF-I had never had them

They wont stop
So I've been on topiramate for about 4 months now and my migraines were stopping and things were going well. I had a few weeks were I was getting hopeful that the meds were working and now I'm back to getting bad headaches again everyday that get slowly worse as the days go on and by night time are migraines

Left arm BP consistently higher than right arm BP
Hello everyone, just wondered if anyone has had anything similar? A review appointment at the GCA clinic last week picked up a 20 mm Hg difference in left arm systolic pressure, compared to the right arm. Not much difference in the diastolic pressures. The doc suggested that I take my BP 3 times a day

Side effects from preventative medicine.
Hi! I am struggling to find a preventative as I seem to be very sensitive to even small amounts of many of them. My problem is the side effects affect me to the point I can’t get to work or take my children to school, so I am unable to stick with them. Always feel like a failure that I can’t tolerate

GCA pain and Paracetamol
Have had PMR for eleven months. Now slow tapering from 9mg to 8mg and going quite well. Just to mention, also: I have been tense for some time and would not be surprised if I have anxiety pain. Yesterday I developed a new type of headache. Back of the neck on left side, radiates up to scalp. I've had

Good afternoon all, Firstly I'm so sorry to all those that have had treatment stopped for Covid. It sucks and I was there in March of last year so I do know how it feels. I hope this does not trigger anyone and if so, please scroll on past. I have had a positive pregnancy test after my FET and my hCG

Migraine... ?
Those of you who have GCA, are the visual disturbances at all like those of Migraine? I am still on 6 mg Pred split morning/evening after more than 7 years of PMR, still have stiffness and the occasional flare so not trying to get any lower, and have a knee which swells and has been drained /steroid

Preparing for next FET after miscarriage!! Need your advice!!
Hi ladies again, I'd like to thank you all for your lovely supportive words due to my miscarriage last cycle. That really helped me passing the tough time, it was a hard experience to lose everything in moments after seeing a positive test for the first time in my life 💔. But here we are continuing

Best use of time while waiting on FISH panel
Hello all, I just found this group, and am so grateful for this type of resource! My husband (41) of 2 months was diagnosed with cll on Friday. I'm so overwhelmed with the terms and information and I don't know where to begin. He is going in this week for the FISH test. My question is, what can we do
