Early scan after heavy bleed - IVF FET

Hi everyone, posting this to give others hope as it’s what I was looking for this weekend. Last Monday we had a scan which showed a 6 week baby with a heartbeat. Thursday I had very painful cramps for a few hours then a large gush of blood, ended up in a&e where I bled for 3 hours. Cervix checked and was closed, hcg levels ok and scan booked for today. So happy to see our baby has grown now 7+3, with a strong heartbeat seen from an abdominal scan. No reason for the bleeding but bleeding doesn’t always mean bad news but should always be checked out! Apparently bleeding is very common in ivf first trimester. This is my second ivf pregnancy so hope this gives others some positivity and hope❤️

Aw Minnie! I had something similar minus the cramps and it knocked the wind out of me but happy to report I am now 13 and half weeks and all looking fine and healthy 😊 Great news about your little one. Hope you have a peaceful pregnancy here on out. Xx

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Had a scan yesterday at our clinic they saw a small pocket of blood but nothing to worry about but to be aware it might come away again, hope it doesn’t ! Xx

Hopefully it wont - lie down straight away if you start spotting. I think it will eventually be reabsorbed or come out. At least your you’re prepared if it happens. I was 8+6 when it happened to me, they quickly scanned my abdomen and couldn’t see a clot or anything but he even said he couldn’t see properly and just made sure baby was ok. Wish they’d done a transvaginal scan and checked my cervix because it’s played on my mind ever since. They couldn’t see anything at 12wk scan though so I’m a bit more relaxed about it now. Xx

Oh my gosh that must have been the scariest thing. Amazing news ☺️ I had a bfp 4 days ago (otd) but been spotting for last 3 days & convinced it’s gone Pete tong! Having hcg bloods done today & in 48 hours. Good to here your story, these are what I’m on this forum for!! Xxx

It really was, I was very unwell over the weekend with my anxiety unfortunately as had to wait 3 days to be scanned. Congratulations on your bfp great news! I got my bfp at 6dp5dt this time and spotted for a couple of weeks, so normal honestly! Just your little embryo getting comfy! Xxx

Hi I'm the same, been bleeding on and off since 6 weeks, had a scan at 6 weeks, 7 weeks and 9 weeks, each time measuring fine and strong heart beat!! They aren't sure where the bleeding is coming from either xxx

Congratulations so happy to see another positive story and a lovely strong heartbeat, these babies are more robust than we think aren’t they 🥰 I have a little pocket of blood seen on my scan yesterday but he said nothing to worry about and he didn’t even write it on my report. But I know if I bleed again it will likely be that xx
