Leukemia and Lymphoma Society 3 D models help improve our understanding of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL/SLL)
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of the USA https://www.lls.org (well worth joining - it's free) has recently released 3D/animated models to help us better visualise how blood cancers impact on our health. The following links are to annotated models of specific interest to those of us with CLL/SLL

Where does CLL apoptosis take place?
After watching the video (Living With Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) I’m curious as to where the CLL cells death (apoptosis) takes place? In the blood? In the marrow? In the lymph nodes? In the spleen? All of the above? The part of the video (below*) is what got me thinking about this. “Dr. Vose: Bruton's

I am booked in for my flu jab and GP has now texted to offer pneumonia jab as I'm 66. Just wondering if anyone has any comments about it,? I seem to remember hearing it can make you quite ill?

Update on Shingles Vaccination in UK
An earlier post made me check NHS Scotland about the shingles vaccination as my husband (without an MPN) is nearly 71 and hadn't been offered it - apparently it used to be done routinely with the flu jab when you reached 70, but last year our flu jabs weren't done by our surgery. It appears the website

High HCG reading
Hi lovely Ladies I’ve just received the best news that my 3rd attempt has resulted in a big fat positive test, the thing that I’m worried about is my HCG is over 700 which is very high only 14 days after that little egg was put into me. Have anyone had the same thing happen and everything worked out

HLH & CLL
Hi All, CLL diagnosed in 2014 and HLH on top of that in 2018. HLH makes CLL look like a cold it's nasty and I thank God for every day that I'm still here and as of yet not needed a transplant. I'm now 43 years of age. Is anyone out there in the same boat? Have a great weekend all! 😊

New Diagnosis - Everything Normal except cytology
Just diagnosed this month, age 49. My lymphocytes are elevated and my cytology shows “atypical” CLL. All my other labs were good and I am mutated with normal FISH results. My doc says this is all good but I feel like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop. Like someone is going to come to me and say,

Chickenpox?
My toddler started nursery in July and has caught everything going. About a week ago we got an email saying there had been 1 confirmed case of chickenpox in the baby room (where he is). Thought we were out of the woods but I’ve just found what looks like 4 tiny pimples on his leg. If your child has

Medication question
Can anyone tell me what would happen if your LH surge wasn’t suppressed in the short-protocol? I have just found out that I should have taken a medication called Fyremadel alongside 150 Bemfola and I hadn’t been because of miscommunication. Just to add, for anyone who would quite rightly deem me a

Pregnant with Low HCG Level
I had my Beta HCG test on Monday which came out positive. However the HCG number is 28 which is low. Will be having another blood test tomorrow to see if the number increases. I am really happy that my FET came out positive but I'm just really worried now about the result. Has anyone been in this situation

CAR-T post 9 months
Hi all Just the latest update on me - I’m still MRD negative 9 months after my CAR-T for aggressive CLL at the Peter Mac in Melbourne. Sadly the trial has now closed its CLL arm so only 9 of us in the world got this treatment for CLL. Here’s a more detailed update shared with the Leukaemia Foundation

Cervix stenosis or closed cervix during IVF
Hi all, I have had LLetz 3 years ago and no one told me it may affect my fertility. Ultrasound also never showed it. Few days ago I had ET and doctor asked me -" What have they done to you?" Which i have mentioned I had LLETZ. He did something probably puncture with a tool to be able to put the catheter
