PREDNISONE, NK cells, Recurrent Miscarriage - 4th pregnancy and anxiety is through the roof

Hello ladies, those of you who have had NK cells blood test, can you all kindly share what level your nk cell was at?

I did the chicago test and my nk cells was 27 vs normal of 10. When i did the test, I had just miscarried for the third time so just wanted them checked. I am now pregnant again (naturally for the 4th time 🤲), but afraid i could miscarry again. My clinic put me on clexane but told me to wait until they give me the go ahead on prednisone (they already prescribed it and i have them at home). I dont know why they said to wait. Im hoping not to do the nk cells test again as its just way too expensive. I am now 4 wks and 2 days (hcg 356), and i usually dont get past wk 5 without starting spotting and eventually miscarrying. Please share your no cells level with me and any advice you may have. Shall i just take the prednisone or wait for clinic? They are only monitoring my hcg and progesterone, so not sure what exactly they are waiting for.

Thanking you all inadvance xx

Gentle congratulations on your pregnancy. I can totally appreciate, relate and understand your anxieties so wishing you well 💛

Mine were just over 30, so quite elevated. I have had to have them monitored throughout the first trimester, every three weeks but with medication (I’m on dexamethasone) they’ve stabilised and I’ve not needed further intrapilids other than my very first one before transfer. My bloods are then monitored every three weeks until I reach about 18 weeks I think they said.

If they know your NK cells are elevated, then I would push them to understand why you can’t start your medication sooner.

Lots of luck 🍀 xx

Thank you lovely. Mine is 27 so not that far from yours. I wonder if the clinic doesnt care much about me given its a natural pregnancy and im therefore not part of their stats. They are only monitoring my hch so i can only assume they are either waiting for it to drop or to increase to a certain level... im already thinking its very late given i am already 4 weeks. How often did you have to do the Nk cells test?

I repeat a full immune panel every three weeks and for the first two weeks from a positive test, I had my HCG monitored every other day which is unusual but that’s my clinics process xx

Oh sounds like the same one as me - is it argc? If yes i dont understand why they are so relaxed with me given my nk cells is at 27 which is similar to you.

Yes!! There are different immune results aren’t there… so maybe it depends which particular NK cell is raised? Mine are filed so don’t have them to hand to check but maybe that’s why? X
