Hello ladies, me again. The I want to desperately test early person š I have never had an hcg shot before 2ww so need your experience. If I test just say the night before OTD, would the test result be quite accurate? Especially if the line goes really dark? My OTD is on day 13, by then the line should be quite darkā¦) I think most of the injected hcg would be out of my body by then, thatās why they test on certain days? I have a reason to think it worked but at the same time thinking it really did not. I do and donāt want to know at the same time. (The second part of my post is just a vent reallyā¦)
Testing just before OTD: Hello ladies... - Fertility Network UK
Testing just before OTD
It takes about 10 days - roughly -for HCG to clear from your body Best to wait for OTD before testing - remember to use 1st pee of the day as your urine will be more concentrated & that best for the pregnancy test. Try to keep yourself busy and take any medication you have been given as directed
Take care
Janet
My test date was Christmas Day (5dt from fresh transfer that was collected on 9 Dec and transferred on 14 Dec). I was told to test on Christmas Eve so we didn't have the sadness on the 25th if it was negative. Tested with first morning urine and result was accurate
It's entirely your choice and depends whether you'll be driven more crazy doubting the lines and obsessing over progression or whether the wait is just too much. I am a super early tester and this time I tested out the trigger shot so tested from the day of transfer. I had two early losses on fresh transfers previously and even though I know early testing can mean you get your hopes up if it's not viable/a chemical, I wanted to know whether there had been implantation at all as that could have given a better idea of where the problem lay. Also, I got very strong BFPs by the time I got to OTD on those transfers so it wouldn't have made a difference. Another thing I've found is my results are much stronger on 2nd morning urine and in the mid afternoon than first morning urine - by OTD I think it should be fairly accurate whatever time of day you test but that really upset me at first as I thought my lines were getting lighter. Best of luck whenever you test āļø
the test will be accurate by 12dp5dt in my experience, especially if you use a first response early result one.
if you had the standard trigger amount it should be out your system about 10 days later (think max is 14 from my last google) so if you had it 36 hours before collection then 5 days for embryo cultivation thatās about 7 days after your transfer it should be out your system if that helps? Hope itās a positive xxx
