Reducing cholesterol in 2 -3 months
Hi . I recently had a fasting blood test and got my cholesterol down from 7 to 6.0 . It was previously at about 5.0. My doc said I should go on statins. I prefer to try a 3 month diet plan . He’s not so keen as I own a fast food business. Lol . My tri glycerides result was 6.25 . Hdl was 1.42 . Suppose

Good results with LCHF
Some 3 months ago, when I had a debilitating viral fever, my health check up showed pre-diabetes. Doc asked me to start metformin, but in addition I continued with LCHF diet , though not strictly. Then I went for another check-up 2 days ago and the lab tests showed the following results (Sept. figures

Cholesterol Advisory Board in U.S. Tied to Statin Manufacturers

Here's a link to an article which itself contains evidence supporting its finding - that those who are responsible for establishing the cholesterol guidelines in the United States are receiving compensation from statin manufacturers. https

High cholesterol and triglycerides?
Hello, I'm new here and I am writing because I recently had some blood work done and it showed high cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides and some other things. I am just kind of puzzled and concerned about this because I am only 17, not overweight, eat a healthy diet and didn't have this problem before

What to do next?
Hi, I have posted here a few times, so to bring you up to speed. I was diagnosed with Hashi's, the Endo put me on 150mcg straight away for 4 weeks, TSH went from 9.09 to 0.28, but I was feeling hyper. Changed to 125mcg, still felt hyper TSH still suppressed. Had a couple of ops (varicose veins, ACL),
