my cholesterol level is 6.7...this is beyond the limit?

Supplementing with high doses of Vitamin C lowers cholesterol. Vitamin C even in extremely high doses is NOT toxic. At extremely high doses (over 7,000 mg) it may cause diarrhea.

I take 3,000 mg per day and it lowered by LDL cholesterol by 18%. You do not need statins.
