I'm looking for advice for a doc appointment first thing on Tuesday.
Where to start? This may become rambling so head out and make yourself a cuppa before you commit. OK, I was feeling rough (rougher than normal) back in April, got a thyroid test to see what my levels were, TSH below range, T4 mid range, T3 below range. I came here and we chatted and decided that I needed

Blood results for Vit D and Cholesterol
Can someone interpret this for me. I requested a bunch of bloods and all have come back within range, from this lab, other than these two. The Vit D is confusing me as I have taken, for years, 4000iU every day religiously. So now wondering if I need to increase? Or maybe I am misunderstanding the

Help with bloods please
Good afternoon I wondered if someone could help me interpret my blood results. On 25th March I was tested looking for arthritis but they did a thyroid test and it came back abnormal so a week later I tested again, still abnormal but this time T3 was in range. I was referred to Endo who prescribed

Cholesterol and Statins
Just had results of Cholesterol test which is 6.2 (up from 4.8 three years ago and pre PMR). Started a low carb diet as soon as prescribed Prednisolone and it has certainly stopped me from gaining. Weight but has meant that I have had to add more fat to my diet for energy. I am guessing that this has

Labs Trending in the Right Way: Eating Right & Being Mindful
Greetings, fellow travelers: Received a few simple test results back today as a check in. I'm a Type 2 diabetic, with NASH (F2, S3 as diagnosed in November 2020). I also carry a mutant gene for Alpha-1 Anti-Trypsin Disorder, which complicates liver function through binding proteins. Total Cholesterol

What should I do next ?
I'd be grateful for advice on my latest blood test results and recent health history about what I should be doing next. I have hypothyroidism with Hashimoto and the last year has been quite up-and-down. I am now taking 50 mcg/day of Levo (Accord). My health history and blood test results are in my profile

Understanding a British NHS Cholesterol test
I have the results of a Cholesterol test (British NHS). I was told it would include advanced lipid results, but it only has nothing like the info given in a test in the US. The numbers are also very different. Any help interpreting this, would be greatly appreciated.

How to bring cholesterol level down
I have been advised by my GP that because of my age now increasing my cholesterol is now on the higher side (5). They have suggested that I lower my level by diet. I do a Pilates class once a week, which is my main exercise, I use a wheelchair so it's not like I can go walking to help bring my weight

I've just got off the phone with a doctor as I want to come off my statins now my cholesterol level is normal and try to control it via a drug free route (any helpful info here would be useful!). She was very nice but after saying the 'recommendations' (a word she used a lot) for someone with angina

Should I take BP meds?
My blood pressure puzzles me, I'd be grateful for advice. I brought my home monitor into the room I was sitting in and took my bp about half an hour later, it was 158/85. I didn't panic, did about a minute of deep breaths then took it again 3 times, readings were 120/72 then 116/70 and finally 114/69
