Numbers high again
Good morning all. I had blood work done in April and my numbers were in the normal range, on the high side, but normal. I just had blood work done again and my numbers are all high again. Doc took me off Lipitor and put me on Crestor. My weight is down 15 lbs since the last appointment. No side effects

Reducing cholesterol through diet....
Hi all. I'm female, 38 and was have recently found out I have a cholesterol level of 6.5, which while I appreciate probably isn't too high it really should be lower. Combine this with a family history of heart disease and possible stroke and the Dr advised me to reduce the levels through diet. I suspect

To take or not take Statins?
LDL-C 161, CT Calcium score 979, passed a stress test, no symptoms. My Cardiologist wants me to take 40mg Lipitor. From my research it seems the benefits of a statin are over stated and the potential problems understated. How can one find out if high choleterol is causing ones athrosclorosis. Many people

Statin use/cholesterol management during venetoclax
Has anyone had to use statins/cholestorol reducing meds during venetoclax? In particular has anyone used ezetrol or crestor? My Dad was on statins prior to commencing venetoclax and he is hoping to continue with the statins if they will not cause any trouble.

I've not posted here for some time and I've NOT been diagnosed by my GP with thyroid issues (yet)! However, I've just had my annual blood test in connection with my type 2 diabetes which is diet controlled i.e. no meds or insulin. The surgery phoned me a few days after the blood test asking me to phone

Cholesterol testing mid heart attack
Hi guys, Wondering if anyone can help me. I had a heart attack aged 37 after minor surgery. They tested my cholesterol mid heart attack, and found it to be 6.6 which is high. When I saw my Cardiac Nurse after she said that your cholesterol level and reading plummets during a heart attack. Six months

Concerned Mother
My son was dx at age 35 with high triglycerides...also hypertension. He takes his medication but his diet is terrible in every way. Is high cholesterol the same as high triglycerides? Last night he ordered a pepperoni pizza.
