Don’t stand so close to me!
I want to now live in a bubble after this year’s flu! It’s now going on a month and I’m still coughing. Thanks to Tamiflu I avoided some of the misery. However, my 3 month CLL check at Mayo came back with a dropped neutrophil count as well as a dropped hemoglobin count from last time - all from the flu

Here I go again
Hi everyone Well after 5 months med free with a count of 30 that slowly dropped over the five months to 10, I have to go back on prednisone. I’m not looking forward to two weeks in it. I have to work full time this time and I have nobody to cover me if I get a side effect. I have never been offered anything

Newly diagnosed and searching for answers.
My daughter was diagnosed on 2-16-18 with ITP, she was medevaced to a children’s hospital. She tested positive for direct Coombs prior to her first IVIG. Her platelets at the time of transport was 15k. After treatment her platelets rose to 42k. Since then she was doing wonderful until this past Sunday

Hello all....was wondering if anyone on here got the pneumonia shot and if so were there any complications? I did get the flu shot last October a couple weeks after I got sinusitis and bronchitis because I thought I was feeling better. It's been 5 months and I'm still coughing. My hematologist said

Using carbonated drinks to take Sinemet.
When I was recovering from back surgery, spinal fusion to fix sciatica pain I had down both legs, I was introduced to the idea of using ginger ale when I take Sinemet. I was at Medstar Georgetown University hospital and was visited by a doctor and a few students. It seemed to work faster. On top of that

Acupuncture
Has anyone had acupuncture for severe back pain? I have had four lumbar spinal fusions, all failed, and now steroid injection has been suggested. I am very against this for many reasons but am a big fan of acupuncture for general health. Has anyone had needles down the spine and on the operation site

Acupuncture for back pain after spinal fusions
Has anyone tried this? Had the spinal needles yesterday and it was marvellous afterwards. Today feel really awful, in pain again and very depressed. The accupuncturist is no charlatan and top class in the profession. Obviously will be needing several sessions and I believe the results are cumulative

Sinusitis and bronchitis and cough that won't go away
Hi all...hope everybody is doing well. I have had sinusitis and bronchitis and cough since Oct 1st 2017...no fever, night sweats or weight loss. I just finished 3 ivig infusions and have 3 more schedule due to my IGg being low. The cough is mostly tight and congested and other times I can move it

Annual Patient Conference videos (USA)
The Myositis Organization (a US based forum) has links on the front page for the annual Myositis Patient Conference. The presentations are on YouTube, so easy to watch. Some are just the screens used in the presentation and some include the video of the presentation as well. There is much good info

Going Crazy!
My 11yr old was diagnosed with ITP Nov 29 with a count of 0. Was admitted into All Childrens hospital and given 2 IVIG treatments that brought numbers up to 35....that was great! But has now dropped to 1 and has been holding at 1 for 3 weeks now. Put on a 4 day dose of steroids that did absolutely nothing
