IFab or MMA
Hello I am trying to investigate low active b12 results (at the low end of the reference range). Am I better to organise a private iFab test or an MMA test? Medichecks suggested MMA but is iFab better? My mum didn’t get diagnosed with PA with low intrinsic factor until she was very severely disabled

RLS temporary relief found
I found RLS temporary relief from a topical vaporizing rub. I am currently using Equate brand vaporizing rub. It contains Menthol, Camphor , and Eucalyptus oil. If I am experiencing RLS or forgot to take my medication on time, I rub this on both legs from top to bottom. Works in less than one minute

Hair loss help please
Hey there. I am almost 49, perimenopausal and one of my symptoms is thinning, breaking, falling hair. It's coming out a lot and getting very broken, weak and patchy. I have 'hair and skin' multi vitamins, vit d, eve primrose oil and eat very well (mainly veggie with a little fish and occasional meat)

Could too much sugar or not enough food be the cause?
I have been researching this internal vibration, coupled with sweating and that chest crunch/pain. It is bad. I don’t even want to go to sleep so I don’t have to wake up. Labs all done - all good - but, one thing that came up was hypoglycemia. The other was hunger and dehydration. I eat while I

President Biden - Atrial Fibrillation
I saw this and thought some people could be interested that even a President functions with health challenges. Biden is the oldest first-term president in US history, and the last comprehensive update on Biden's medical history came nearly two years ago when his presidential campaign released a three-page

Is Inflammatory Arthritis RA?
Stupid question, been diagnosed for six years since 20 but it’s always been written as: Seronegative inflammatory arthritis. It was once written as RA and once as Oligoarthritis. Is there any difference. I am negative rheumatoid factor, anti-CCP and HLA B27. Three years ago my DSA28 score equates to

Hypothyroidism
My husband is 69 1/2 years old, always been healthy and is not on any medication other than the supplements I give him. Recent blood work in August 2021, showed a low B12 level of 300, he is now on supplements to help with this. The problem lies with his TSH levels. The chart ranges I have found

Back from surgery
Hi- I’ve had my lap today and removal of left ovary and cyst. Also a small cyst on right ovary which didn’t know was there but ovary has been left which is good as I wanted to avoid surgical menopause. There was no endo to excise which I’m grateful about. Consultant does think I have Adenomyosis

Hello, I had pernicious anemia about two years ago and it was corrected with injections. Intrinsic factor test was negative. However, with the time I needed injections again. I read in the internet that pernicious anemia is caused by autoimmune gastritis and that this gastritis may lead to cancer. I
