President Biden - Atrial Fibrillation

I saw this and thought some people could be interested that even a President functions with health challenges.

Biden is the oldest first-term president in US history, and the last comprehensive update on Biden's medical history came nearly two years ago when his presidential campaign released a three-page summary of his medical history in December 2019.

Dr. Kevin O'Connor, Biden's primary care doctor since 2009, described Biden as "a healthy, vigorous, 77-year-old male," at the time.

The 2019 summary showed Biden was being treated for non-valvular atrial fibrillation, or AFib -- an irregular heartbeat that O'Connor said Biden experiences no symptoms of. He was taking Crestor to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels, as well as Eliquis to prevent blood clots, Nexium for acid reflux, and Allegra and a nasal spray for seasonal allergies.

The most significant medical event in Biden's history, O'Connor wrote, was when Biden suffered a brain aneurysm in 1988. He was serving in the Senate at the time. During surgery, doctors found a second aneurysm that had not bled, which they also treated.

While in the hospital after that surgery, Biden suffered deep vein thrombosis and a pulmonary embolism. Doctors at the time inserted an "inferior vena cava filter," which would prevent future blood clots from reaching the heart and lungs and treated him with an oral anti-coagulant for several months.

Totally agree with you john6. Most people who live in other countries aren't seeing what's really happening in this country. Biden isn't even allowed to take questions. He's said it himself. He's not a well person. And if he does have these health problems it is even more worrisome that he is the POTUS. Anyone who lives in the USA and is paying full attention knows he is POTUS in name only. Some of the dems are starting to wake up and say things aren't going well. And many retiring and/or not seeking re-election. Jumping ship while they can. It's turning into chaos in this country. And I am truly afraid.

Can we please not get into political opinions here. I totally disagree with above. I live in the USA also. We are a divided country and many of us are trying to heal. I could respond with so much more but we all know where that leads. Thanks.

Sorry. I get carried away sometimes. Some people here I believe have no one else to relay their concerns to. And I believe that everyone with Afib is affected by everything in the world including politics. Living in this world as it is makes some very anxious which in turn can aggravate their condition. Especially those who may be alone.

Take care and be safe.

You've been listening to Faux News obviously; time to change the channel and try to appreciate the good that has come from our President in less than one year.

Ditto! Agree with everything you have said. You said it way more eloquently than I would have. 🤣

There is no way to hide from what is happening around the world. It's a relief for many to discuss it.

Yes. And to know I’m not alone in my thinking. There are many patriots out there who see the truth!
