Hi,
I have IBS and about a week ago started up with stabbing/twisting pains in my LRQ after mistakenly eating udon (didn't know it was wheat). I get pain around the belly button, right side and then down into the ileocecal area. Nothing helps. Not Tylenol or castor oil packs. It has waxed and waned for a week. If I eat solid food the pain starts up again immediately while eating, not after eating, during eating, like a few bites in, I don't understand this. It hasn't even hit my intestine yet unless I have a giant hole that the food is dropping through.
If I stay on soft foods it's ok. So after a week, I was able to start up on solid food again slowly. Until last night. Like a dumass I wanted to test the negative celiac results. I ate a few bites of birdseye broccoli and pasta, like 4 bites. Immediate pain that has not let up since.
A year and a half ago I had this same issue. The onset of LRQbelly button pain after eating a steak taco. It didn't go away for two months. bloodwork and sonogram are all normal. does not hurt to palpate. the doctor had no answers. it went away on its own and hasn't returned until now.
I got bloodwork done again a few days ago, Celiac negative. Blood normal except for inflammation marker that is high. I don't eat red meat anymore and avoid gluten, flour, yeasted food. Vegetables are impossible to digest. I live on yogurt, eggs, apples and soup but keep gaining weight.
Sorry this is so long. I'm desperate. Has anyone had this pain?
My GI consult isn't til August. Who knows when I will get an appt everything is so backed up after covid.
Im trying not to worry, assuming a flare. If it was appendicitis or gallstones it would be sore to palpate. I've been told nerves in the stomach, stress, IBS. Maybe ICV.
Anyone have the mystery resolved?
