Is this all normal?
Hi I had my 2nd lap last Wednesday. I had my 1st over 14 years ago to remove an ovarian cyst. This time, after having been back and forward to docs over many years, I had a few things done at once. I had: Laparoscopy to remove cyst; colposcopy, hysteroscopy, biopsy, cryotherapy, and lasor treatment.

Recovering from cardiac ablation.
Had ablation in mid Jan 2014, recovering well, pulse in sinus rhythm most of the time, only seems to become arrhythmic when i have stomach cramps and diarrhoea. Am on Amiodrone 200mg daily (since ablation), Bisopropal 5mg and Warfarin 7mg, any advice?, anyone else experiencing the same?

Is this lupus?
Over several years I've been experiencing symptoms that put together might be pointing at lupus. I have several joints in my body affected by arthritis -(moderately - no swelling but painful at times) - the GP puts it down to wear and tear (osteoarthritis) but these joints hurt particularly when I

Hi all! I'm carer & mum to a Fibro sufferer looking for information & friendship. You seem like great people, can I tell you our story?
My daughter has been in severe pain since she was 10 years old. At first it was thought she had a bone infection, and she was put on bed-rest for 3 months. This had a devastating affect on her physical strength and her mental state. She went from being a normal child going out to the park with friends

Just found this site - thanks to all contributors.
I contracted suspected VM back in November 2013. After about 10 days of blinding headaches, I was whisked off to hospital for a scan. The doctors were happy that it wasn't bacterial - but were concerned with it being a bleed. Had a cat scan - nothing showed. The doctors considered a spinal tap, but

What is Cardiac arrest ? Found this explanation in the copy of today's mail health section.
This week:
Cardiac
arrest
Very simply, a
cardiac
arrest
is when the heart stops pumping. It is often confused with a heart attack (myocardial infarction - where heart tissue dies because it isn't getting enough blood) - this can lead to
cardiac
arrest
, but not always.

Poorly Lottie Dog
Usually it is Lottie supporting me when I am poorly with lots of loving cuddles, and lately bless her she has been doing just that because her mummy hasn't been so great. This morning thought great, blue skies Lottie and I can go for a gentle stroll down the local park now the river has finally gone

My husband suffered a hypoxic brain injury and has blurred vision.
Hi on the 2nd August 2013 my husband suffered a
cardiac
arrest
and was down for 72 minutes. I gave cpr from the minute he stopped breathing until the ambulance arrived but his heart was shocked into an irregular rhythm. He was stabilized at the hospital and went into icu and put into hypothermia.
