Keto test strips
Hi Following from advice here, I have now cut back my double cream in take and my snacking as well. I've increased my portions on my meals, and not had my strawberries in the morning, and swapped to eggs or nothing. It was also very encouraging watching ITV the diet programme, Save money Lose Weight

I'm new here and would love some advice. I was recently diagnosed with fatty liver disease and I need to lose about 130 pounds. I was on a low-carb (20 a day) diet and had lost 50 pounds, but gained it all back after learning I was sick. Initially, my gastro nurse walking into my room (I thought

Weight gain
Hi I’m been doing a low carb diet for about 5 weeks now. I did this not to lose a massive amount of weight, but I realised I was eating far too much sugary- carb things, fruit for example, and hitting energy slumps. I lost about three pounds, not much but, as said I’m not over weight. However, I

Since it seems to be getting a positive response, I thought this might be of general interest: https://healthunlocked.com/lchf-diet/posts/140300250/lchf-saves-the-planet It's unlocked, so you shouldn't need to join the forum to read it.

Surprised by PCOS after having children!!
I got sick and tired of being sick and tired so after 5 different doctors could never figure out why I was tired all the time, I made my own appointment to an endocrinologist and was finally diagnosed. I have cut out most of the sugar in my diet and I am not completely well but are much better now that

Eggs & diabetes
I just received an email talking arguing eggs are not bad for diabetes, and possibly good. To justify its position it referred to a study performed at The University of Eastern Finland, and published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition studied the diets of men aged 42 to 60, and followed them

Damn the Torpedoes. Part 5 Food.
Firstly, I’ll be cutting out double cream and strictly limiting nuts, they are far to easy to over consume and the psychological aspect on not actually ‘eating’ something (with regard to cream) I don’t need. Rather than going down the road of looking at numerous low carb 400 calorie recipes (and driving

Role of dietary fibre on LCHF Diet
As followers of LCHF diet, we are sometimes concerned about reduced intake of dietary fibre. We take some supplements also to make-up the shortfall. Here is a presentation on the subject by Dr. Paul Mason, which I think may be of interest to group members following LCHF. https://youtu.be/xqUO4P9ADI0

Hi! I’m after your support please. Attached are my latest test results which I’d like your comments on. Not the full suggested list (consultant directed) but hoping you can interpret for me. I'm new here....
I've submitted two posts before this, but these seem to have caused some confusion, I had no intention of misleading anyone or wasting any ones time, my first was about how shocked I was over how little GP's know about hypothyroidism/ Hashi's and to thank people on here for the valuable info I had learnt

HER MAJESTY'S DIET
Queen Elizabeth II is going to be 93 next month. Would you like to know one of the secrets of her excellent health and longevity? That is her diet! Her diet can be described broadly as LCHF. It is not by design but by default. In the main meals (Lunch and Dinner) , strictly NO STARCH - no pasta, rice

I got my energy back and got rid of all the symptoms...
I got rid of my symptoms when I got enough potassium. It took me some time to find out (browsing research results on pubmed) that one of the reasons hyperthyroidism can be dangerous is that high levels of thyroid hormone depletes the body of potassium. Together with the fact that many of the side effects

Recently Diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis
Hi All, Unfortunately my father is diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis 3 weeks back. He is diabetic since last 17 years. He never really had alcohol. Recently during our small family vacation, his legs had swelling - which often appeared during travelling due to legs hanging but disappeared after a night
