GP appointment postponed
My GP appointment has been postponed until 18th July, I wasn't offered an appointment with another doctor. This means I have to postpone the private endo appointment too as it required me to get a referral from my GP. I will do a full thyroid blood tests when I've been on my meds fior 6 weeks. Is there

Crohn's flare up and RLS
I'm having a bad Crohn's flare up right now. All of my medication for RLS has stopped working. Oxycodone , iron, magnesium , non of it is helping. RLS has gone through the roof. Im also trying to reduce pramipexole, but I can't cope with anymore withdrawal right now. I'm past myself. Arthritis also

Magnesium Taurate recommendation
Could anyone recommend a good brand of Magnesium Taurate? I’m used to buying Tom Oliver from Amazon, but this is no longer available. Ideally I’d like something to take just once a day. . Lots of Amazon reviews have things like “noticed burning taste in mouth after swallowing” and “doesn’t say what

Early 50s male, healthy till hypothyroidism my first few months experience of treatment
I don't usually share info on the internet, but as a lot of material out there is aimed at women or Americans (I mean no offence to either!) I thought I'd stay my experience so far. Diagnosis, what does it all mean, and treatment/first medications. DIAGNOSIS Late 2022 I saw a nurse as I was taking longer

Hi, I have just received my results, I took the blood test as I am experiencing symptoms which are not normal for me. Sleep Problems - Not enough sleep
I've started to have problems sleeping. I usually wake up 1 or 2 times a night. However, over the past few weeks, I've been getting 1 to 3 hrs of sleep. I don't know what to do. I fall asleep ok. After sleeping for approx 1.5 hrs I wake up. I go to the bathroom then as I try to go back into bed and

What a start with V+O
Well I finally started my treatment and the first week was quite a roller coaster. Day 1 ,I was only 10 minutes into the treatment and I had a severe reaction. Blood pressure dropped to 70/30 , hot flashes, chills, nausea but 5 nurses did their thing and reversed it pretty quickly. Completed the dose

Time and again I see recommendations that one should speak to an MPN specialist or someone else on one's care team - and I have a quiet chuckle and just carry on with my life. I am Coeliac around 2010 I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation and Essential Thrombocythemia; since then I have progressed

should you take supplements at the same time as the Pred dose?
I recently read not to take calcium supplements at the same time as my morning pred dose, are there any other wisdoms about taking Vit D, potassium etc at the same time as pred ? or is it better to not take anything else at the same time? thanks

New test results
Hi, Here are the Blue Horizon test results for my friend where I think she's showing hypothyroid because of the low T4. Do you agree? Is Total T4 also a bit low in range, do you think?Next step will probably be to get the gp to test again and check the low T4 wasn't a one off as there's no thyroid panel

Slow Breathing Practice
2 years ago at 56, I went into syncope twice. The first time I was walking in a park and doing deep breathing. (like many I misinterpreted slow breathing with hyperventilation). A week later while hospitalized for rapid afib as I was about to go for a cardioversion, I walked to the bathroom doing deep
