New to OP, Hormone for building bones
It was suggested that there is a hormone that helps to build bone. I am not talking about estrogen. Soon I will be 70 and that hormone has an increased risk of cancer. Is there another hormone for bone density? I have taken the recommended supplements, 1200 mg calcium and D3 along with the recommended

ADCal alternatives?
Hello everyone. Am prone to UTIs and don't like the ADCal tabs as they are grainy/gritty. I take a Soldar Vit D, but what dose is advisable, and what brand, type and dose of calcium does anyone advise please. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Help with great nieces blood work please.
I have to start this over. I messed this whole thing up. My niece has low white blood cell count, and some other low readings. I gave her the list of symptoms for B12 deficiency before she got all these blood tests done. She marked off just about every symptom on that B12 deficiency list. So I asked

Magnesium Taurate Dose
Hi As a former patient of Sanjay Gupta I take the recommended daily Magnesium Taurate tablet (Cardiovascular Research 125mgs per tablet) for AF and palpitations. Unfortunately I am currently struggling to buy this - I usually get it from Amazon but for some reasons it’s not currently available, I did

Bloods results help please
I went to see my private endo 3 weeks ago and he asked for loads of bloods. I'll post them below but I'm confused as my previous tests on 07/10 showed TSH 2.89 (range 0.35-5.5 um/L) and free T4 14.3 pmol/L (range 10.5-21) - those were done by GPThe last bloods were done on 9/11 at di only a month later

Trialling Buprenorphine and Dipyramidole - experience
Hello everyone! I’ve been around for a little while but I’ve been waiting for something definite to report. At age 56, the RLS was getting very disruptive so I had to find an alternative to my usual sleep medication. It took me a few years. In the end I returned to my old GP, who listened and thought

Mega high Selenium. 367ug/L (67-135). Taking 200mcg daily. Does anyone taking this dose know what their selenium levels are?
Started 200mcg selenium 1/8/22 to try to get rid of puffiness under my eyes, light sensitivity, etc. I know that even the NHS consider this safe as the NHS site says that 350mcg of selenium supplements are unlikely to cause any harm. The TED charity recommend 200mcg selenium for 6mths, dropping back

Just diagnosed with Osteoporosis, rock and a hard place...
Do any of you have multiple conditions that make it difficult to treat OP? I have stage 3b chronic kidney disease, which means I have to limit my calcium and my protein. I also have chronic deep vein thrombosis for which I am on lifetime blood thinners. That means no food high in vitamin K. I'm also

Sensitivity to light, dry eyes and calcium deposits
My problem may seem light compared to some of those reported but it is having an enormous effect on my lifestyle. My eyes are so sensitive to light that I have to keep the blinds drawn in the house for most of the day, my lifetime habit of reading the morning paper can no longer be indulged in, reading

My cardiologist prescribed fleconaide for persistent ectopics along with magnesium. I’m on day 4 and I’m not sure if it is really making any difference apart from making me feel slightly weird. I’m starting on a small dose to build up. Any advice as to how long it takes to get into your system and make

when I was 16 I had my Thyroid removed. I’m on meds for that and was already on Effexor for anxiety. Now I’m 22 and take Effexor and klonopin which I hate having to take for generalized anxiety. Doc wanted to increase it but I won’t. I have a hard time driving and being by myself. I want to try magnesium

An interesting observation about anxiety and constipation
I've had increasing trouble evacuating, but I've recently discovered something interesting that may or may not be useful to others. I hope it will. I use vitamin C and magnesium citrate to help the process along, but even with that, I found I was having trouble and that made me feel --- STRESSED, ANXIOUS
