How far from a loo can you get? Magnesium is renowned for giving the runs. I take 200mg tablets.

I take Magnesium Taurate and Magnesium Glycinate both, at night and in the morning. It really seems to be helping reduce my ectopics and AF episodes.

You just have to experiment w/ how your belly does on different doses. Different people have different sensitivities -- thus the need for the near-by loo for some. When "too loose", reduce the dose. I have found a happy dose for my body. Best of luck to you!

I don’t absorb magnesium very well and despite taking 450 mg of a combination of magnesium taurate and magnesium glycenate for over a year now my magnesium blood levels just make it into the range of ‘normal’ levels, which to me suggests I’m probably still under the normal range as I know that blood test results for magnesium don’t show the full picture. I’ve now upped my daily intake to just under 600 mg in total to try and increase it more, with no ill effects. I haven’t had an Afib episode ( touch wood) for 10 months and 10 months before that too, so it certainly can’t be doing any harm, as I had been getting more frequent before that.

I do think it helps ectopics as I don’t seem to get many, if any….so I would definitely carry on if you can 😊

That’s great news! Long may it last! Thanks for letting us know.

When you say a teaspoon, how do you take it? (Eg dissolved in water?)

I’m asking because I’m in bad need of a new magnesium supplement - the brand of capsules I used to have have switched to tablets containing ingredients I can’t have. I’ve since had a basic blood test that shows me deficient, but there’s so many brands out there and I don’t know which to trust. I have gastritis issues too, so need something gentle on my stomach.

Any personal recommendations would be very welcome :) x
