What vitamin supplements to take alongside B12 injections?
Hi all - I'm currently on monthly injections for PA but still feel tired every morning even after a good nights sleep; low energy days; trouble focusing etc - sure you'll all be familiar with the symptoms! I've had several further blood tests and vitamin D and iron deficiencies have been identified

I know this treatment is for osteoporosis and not PMR but I’ve been offered this treatment as I’m over 65 and I’m on the cusp of being osteopenic and my bone fracture score is now just above 10.. Recently my rheumy said that the results of my dexascan were some of the best he had seen for someone on

my 30 year old daughter had been treated for hypothyroidism for the last 8 years and takes 125 mcg Liothyronine. Recently a friend in Hong Kong where she lives as suggested sea moss supplement and she feels she has more energy and less brain fog. I’m concerned about the iodine in it but other components

Blood Test for vits (and thyroid)
Hello all. Following advice from SlowDragon, got GP to agree to Vit testing as T3 low and as SlowDragon though they would, they drew blood for Thyroid levels , too! Must say here, too, after GPS lowered my Levo, because I had too many hypo symptoms return, I upped the dose from 175 to 200 as on 200

Coronary Calcium Score High
I’ve had results of a scan a month ago but no interpretation. Calcium score is 2581 Agatston/Volume Mildly calcified Aortic valve High risk for obstructive CAD - precludes CTCA - alternative investigation advised. Also mild cylindrical Bronchiectasis 😵💫 Question Is the calcium score totally

Constipation
Hi helpful community. I am on 40 mg or prednisone for CGA, tapering down to 35 in 2 days for 2 weeks. I am suffering from constipation. Is it due to the prednisone or the Calcium supplements (600 mg x 2 per day)? I take Miralax (Restorolax) every couple of days. then I take mineral oil for couple

Help with test results
I am feeling a bit better, not so spaced out, no depression or dizziness. I stopped HRT in July. However, I do still get tired, have weight problems, have a swollen scalloped tongue, high cholesterol, goitre, tinnitus, joint stiffness. I am on 100mg Levothyroxine. I take B complex, B1, selenium

Magnesium glycinate supplements
Hello everyone I’ve been taking magnesium glycinate for a while before bed and found it really helps with sleep. I still wake up during the night, but go back to sleep much more quickly than before. However, the tablets I take are big and I find them difficult. I have to eat something afterwards even

New guy, older guy, first post
Hello. I have been on the planet for a bit. I'm not even sure I tapped the right place to do a general post. Will try this. I joined yesterday. This depression stuff is not a new experience but it has gotten much deeper. Much more uncomfortable. I have started treating myself to seeing a counselor

Now for something completely different
Monday, when you probably will see this post. Crack of dawn. I will be on my way to University Hospital London for a Radical Prostatectomy on Weds. Yes, I've had to learn a new lexicon of terms and medical knowledge. Whilst for the last few months I have been an observer of comments and post rather

Cramps
I am experiencing incredibly painful foot leg and hand cramps during the night and can't sleep as I'm continuously flying out of the bed and pacing the floor. Does anyone else have this. I went to boots and the pharmacist said because you are on diuretics you are deficient in things. She recommended

My response to WinnieThePoo.
"You are sure it's [ALS/PD/AD] a toxic syndrome? Can you describe a mechanism of action for the disease process? You are sure it's not diet? Or stress? Of course you are sure. But unlikely to offer a viable solution to share. Meanwhile, those less blinkered [blinded by tunnel vision] research solutions

Major issues with sleep and waking up in the morning.
Hey everyone! I'm back for more advice. My 16 year old ADHD son has the worst time getting up in the morning. I wake him up about 4 times before I leave which ends with me snatching the covers off of him and sometimes squirting him in the face with a water bottle. He has an old school GM alarm clock
