I have never lost any weight for years, weight just going up and up.....thyroxine was increased to 50mg from 25mg in April and I have lost 4kg, but I was also diagnosed with erosive gastritis a week ago (following gastroscopy) and await biopsy resultsSerum TSH is 1.81 (0.27 - 4.2)
Serum free T4 14.4 (10 - 21 )
Serum free triiodothyronine 4.9 (3.5 - 6.5)
Vitamin D 62.5 nmols (up from 40nmols)
Magnesium 0.67 (0.7 - 1.0) it has increased from 0.62 and I am taking 500 to 700mg a day
Adj calcium 2.34
Phosphate is 1.11mmol/l (0.8 - 1.5)
PTH 8.6 pmol/l (1.3 - 7.3) down from 9.6
Can I improve as I still don't feel great, but I have also developed nightsweats waking up soaked and literally shivering if I go to the bathroom - I am 67 years old, the majority of the time I am still feeling cold

I don’t know if levothyroxine would cause your weight loss personally it hasn’t caused me lose weight I hope someone who knows more about how to interpret your results will be able to answer your question.
Re. the over range Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) .... this could be causing some of your symptoms , but parathyroid hormone is not something i know much about.
Hopefully others who know more will answer ... SlowDragon ? ...... if not, put up another post with "parathyroid" in the title, so it will be more obvious.

Are these results after taking *50mcg for at least 6 wks? ( *have edited typo, sorry )
How many hours before test was last dose levo taken ?
What time of day was test ?
TSH 1.81 (0.27 - 4.2)
freeT4 14.4 (10 - 21 )
freeT3 4.9 (3.5 - 6.5)
Could the extra 25mcg have caused the weight loss / night sweats ? ,... well ,
.... it's still a very small dose, and the TSH and fT4 certainly do not suggest overmedication , so it is unlikely that overmedication could be causing 'unwanted' weight loss... but as you were previously undermedicated and have excess weight , then it is possible that the better dose being is now allowing your body to loose some of that excess weight .
But as you have Ulcerative Colitis /some intestinal surgery, and now have another gastric issue on top , i would think it is likely that at least some of the weight loss is related to that,
The higher dose started around April 4th and the bloods were done at 9am June 14th (9 to 10 weeks) it was about 30 hours from last dose of thyroxine - the previous TSH test was 3.5 and free T4 was 11.3 on April 4th
