No one will believe this
I have had difficult urinating for years. I have posted about catheter horrors and about finally finding one that works, sort of. I believe I have scar tissue at my bladder neck because that is where the cath encounters difficult in insertion. My urologist wanted to do another TURP, no way, it took

New Member - recent diagnosis
Recently diagnosed with aggressive metastasized prostate cancer (Gleason 4+5=9). TURP was performed last week to help alleviate some symptoms. Radical prostate surgery was not possible due to the spread of cancer. Started ADT (Lupron). Radiology is scheduled for the fall of this year. The bone scan

Stricture 'pops' when Catheterising.
I do a two week catheterise for a stricture I have post TURP (2019). Last time I did it there was some resistance to the Catheter going in and when I eased it past there was a pop sensation as it broke through. No blood though (not like when I had a bladder inspection when the scope broke the stricture

Ductal PCA - Avoid T.U.R.P. and Self Cath
I have serious pissing problems with this cancer and after DX last fall, a TURP was done in December. From that sample, pathology determined this beast to be a Ductal PCA, a very aggressive cancer. Pissing problems returned in March, and the answer was to perform another TURP. Radiation Doc

Myomectomy for large fibroid
I'm 25 (no children) and have a melon-sized fibroid (10cmx8cm) behind my uterus. I have been referred for surgery and would love to connect with other women who have been through a similar journey. As you can see, I get extremely bloated and uncomfortable after eating but other than that I don't get

Is This Normal for PC?
Every Cancer is different is what they all say. I seem to have inherited a very different one. Urination issues: Had urination issues as symptoms beginning last Summer, and diagnosed in November with Ductal PCA. The medical solution to my pissing problem was a TURP. Lasted a bit over two months

Episiotomy and foreceps without consent
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience to mine and has any tips to work past it. I gave birth to my daughter 3 weeks ago, she's my first child. The birth started off at home until I was 7cm and had a bleed so got blue lighted into hospital. I had an epidural on arrival at 5pm and

Thread to help those suffering with birth trauma
Hi there I thought I'd create this thread for people to vent about their birth experiences I've noticed since the birth of my daughter 10 days ago there's not much support there are health visitors and midwives but I'm finding the support inadequate for example this morning I get a call from the midwife

Mirena at the time of birth
I’m having elective c-section next week. A consultant told me I can have Mirena(IUD) when I have a c section as it’s unable to get it at the moment due to covid if you wanted it later time. Slightly concerned as normally it’d be the best to have 6-8 weeks after the birth. I was told I need to get checked

Libido kind of problem
Hello there! So apparently my wife has issues with her libido. She never had issues with these kind of things. She was sexually active (wish she was a bit more 😂) and she was enjoying her sexuality. We never had problems with our sex life. So after she gave birth with c section she had her recovery

When can I get pregnant again after a c section.
My clinic said I have to wait 1 year and NHS recommend 2 years. I want to try for the next baby as soon as possible because there is no guarantee it will work on 1st try. I'm totally fine with have children similar ages. My brother and I are only 15 months apart. Some women get pregnant very quickly

How long for MRI results?
Hi All, this is my first post but hoping you may be able to shed some light on all of this for me. Had a pelvic MRI yesterday, how long usually for the results to come back? The nurse afterwards said they have to pass the results on to gynae & urology (?), then it will go to the gynae team at St Marys

Mid cycle cramping normal when on the combined pill?
Hi, is it normal to experience cramping mid cycle when you're on the combined pill? The reason I ask is because I am waiting for results of a MRI to establish if the cyst in my right ovary is cancerous. The ovary is currently cramping, not too painfully but consistently all day. My understanding is that

*SENSITIVE * 22 WEEK ANATOMY
Hello TTC community!! Wanted to update those that need a positive story to keep them going. We just had our anatomy scan on Sat (22weeks and 6 days). All looks well except for a low lying placenta... could mean C section but hopefully it will move up in 3rd trimester. Baby boy was eating amniotic fluid
