Hi, I'm having an anal surgery tomorrow and I'm so nervous. Any reassurance or similar experiences welcome please! After 20 or so years of on and off agony caused by an anal fissure and piles that flair up due to constipation - I'm finally having a surgical procedure to see if it can help. Creams and

No one will believe this
I have had difficult urinating for years. I have posted about catheter horrors and about finally finding one that works, sort of. I believe I have scar tissue at my bladder neck because that is where the cath encounters difficult in insertion. My urologist wanted to do another TURP, no way, it took

Twin pregnancy - natural or elective C section?
Hi Ladies, I know it's a bit early to ask as I'm just wrapping up my first trimester. However, I'm 41, first pregnancy with twins (IVF double embryo transfer) and was wondering whether any of you on here had a natural birth or whether you were offered an elective C section because of the multiple pregnancy

Pros & cons of elective c sections: feedback needed please (public sector and private one)
Hello lovely ladies! ❤️ I’m looking for some feedback on experiences of elective/planned c sections, whether done on the NHS or privately.... what did you expect, how did it go, how was the recovery, would you do it again? Im considering it for myself, as a way to make the birthing experience as safest

Stricture 'pops' when Catheterising.
I do a two week catheterise for a stricture I have post TURP (2019). Last time I did it there was some resistance to the Catheter going in and when I eased it past there was a pop sensation as it broke through. No blood though (not like when I had a bladder inspection when the scope broke the stricture

Ductal PCA - Avoid T.U.R.P. and Self Cath
I have serious pissing problems with this cancer and after DX last fall, a TURP was done in December. From that sample, pathology determined this beast to be a Ductal PCA, a very aggressive cancer. Pissing problems returned in March, and the answer was to perform another TURP. Radiation Doc

Is This Normal for PC?
Every Cancer is different is what they all say. I seem to have inherited a very different one. Urination issues: Had urination issues as symptoms beginning last Summer, and diagnosed in November with Ductal PCA. The medical solution to my pissing problem was a TURP. Lasted a bit over two months

Myomectomy for large fibroid
I'm 25 (no children) and have a melon-sized fibroid (10cmx8cm) behind my uterus. I have been referred for surgery and would love to connect with other women who have been through a similar journey. As you can see, I get extremely bloated and uncomfortable after eating but other than that I don't get

Episiotomy and foreceps without consent
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience to mine and has any tips to work past it. I gave birth to my daughter 3 weeks ago, she's my first child. The birth started off at home until I was 7cm and had a bleed so got blue lighted into hospital. I had an epidural on arrival at 5pm and

Thread to help those suffering with birth trauma
Hi there I thought I'd create this thread for people to vent about their birth experiences I've noticed since the birth of my daughter 10 days ago there's not much support there are health visitors and midwives but I'm finding the support inadequate for example this morning I get a call from the midwife

Mirena at the time of birth
I’m having elective c-section next week. A consultant told me I can have Mirena(IUD) when I have a c section as it’s unable to get it at the moment due to covid if you wanted it later time. Slightly concerned as normally it’d be the best to have 6-8 weeks after the birth. I was told I need to get checked
