Yes, G-9/10, PSA 63, Chemo after RARP and start of Lupron. 9 cycles (a couple too many) added Xtandi. Neuropathy permanent but 4 1/2 years and still here. Good luck.

Yes, I had 6 rounds of taxotere chemo after an RP and radiation. New studies suggest adding Zytiga to the mix earlier rather than later.

Best wishes.

Won't remove Prostate on husband because mets to bones, stage 4. He wants surgical castration rather than ADT, they refuse. I shot of Degralix, next one is Lupron. Should he be having more? Chemo or radiation? He's 78 yrs old, diagnosed 3 months ago.

What else do the scans show? Any mets to lymph nodes or visceral organs? Radiation is very effective at controlling bone pain. Chemo plus abiraterone may be a good choice if he is in otherwise good health. Best wishes!

You will find many here who have had, and are having, chemo. It may be in the near future for me. If you search this site, you will find a lot of info/posts.

Yes had chemo per CHAARTED, back in the fall of 2015 as early treatment for stage 4 PCa. 6 rounds of Docetaxel, for me it was pretty tough but seems to be worth it, I’m still here. Side effects were flu like symptoms, fatigue, hair loss, finger nail loss or weakness, neuropathy and loss of taste/sore mouth. Rounds 4-6 were the toughest. So ya it sucked but seems to have been worth it.

8 cycles Docetaxel. It was totally worth it for me. A lot of the same symtoms EdBar had. That began March 2017 for extensive bone mets and a few abdominal lymph nodes. And then to Xtandi August 2017. So I started treatments almost 4 and a half years ago. Don't know where you are at in the journey, but adding Zytiga to Docetaxel seems to have had promising results. Best wishes.
