TRUP vs. alternatives
New info from meeting with RO Yesterday he says because my prostate is enlarged ( 158 grams estimate from MRI, about 5 x normal) he thinks that having a TURP prior to radiation might be a good idea. His thinking is; radiation may swell my prostate and if my urethra were to close off flow during the

Gentle iron supplements
Can anyone recommend a iron supplement that is gentle on the stomach and doesn't make you constipated, but is also a decent dose? I'm on ferrous sulfate from the doctor having lost a lot of blood in a c section 9 weeks ago, and my levels are still not great (33 ug/l, range 13-150), so I need a good dose

Bowel Endo Symptoms ** UPDATE **
Just an update to say I had the results of the MRI today. Stage 4 endo, everywhere. Particularly around the rectum, bowel, on my C Section scar... ovaries, inbetween vagina and rectum, I think he said bladder too. It was all a bit of a shock. I also have adeno. Lap booked in 2 weeks as I am so so

Changes to skin?
I was wondering if anyone else had noticed changes to their skin? I had a C-section and the scar that formed was a keloid scar, it's not a problem I've ever had before so put it down to the fact that it was a surgical scar. Surgeon for my second c-section 'tidied it up' and that also went keloidy. Again

Vaginal birth after 3rd degree tear
Hi everyone, I am 14 weeks with my second ivf baby. My first was born 18 months ago, I had a fast labor (19 minutes 😬) and ended up with a deep 3rd degree tear which required a spinal block to fix. I recovered well, healed within 5 weeks and no long lasting health problems. I’m under a consultant again

Suspected c-section scar endo, can anyone relate to my symptoms?
Hey! I’m currently waiting for an appointment at my local endometriosis clinic after being referred by my doctor. She seems pretty sure I do have endo (too long to type out every time 🙈😂) . It’s suspected it may be in my c section scar. I just wanted some advice regarding symptoms as they’re quite

Things Changed after TURP
I’m a 45 year old man who had a TURP about 5 years ago. Ever since I have had retrograde ejaculation and pain on ejaculation. It makes you feel lesser of a man when you can’t shoot. It has caused me major depression. My question is are there other guys out there like me?

Life after TURP
Hi all I refer to previous post asking about TURP. I had my TURP in August and have not had any serious pain and the flow is much better. I still do not have full control of my bladder, with bending lifting and to some extent walking causing leakage which is contained very well with Tena 3 pads. I continue

C-section bleeding
I had my twins via c section a week ago and my bleeding was quite tame. Over the past two days the bleeding has become heavier (not soaking a pad) has this happened to anyone else? Was everything ok? I have been walking around a lot as my twins are in the neonatal unit so I’m thinking maybe I’ve been

Don’t know what to do!? - induced labour ?
What next? Induced already - didn’t work after nearly 3 days! - do I wait it or not? I was induced due to having pre disposition health problem of arthritis - hasn’t caused any issues to pregnancy or baby health but was offered induction so I could return to old meds sooner. Been in Hosp for around

Labour pain Vs period pain endometriosis: similarities?😱
Hello I have stage 4 deep infiltrative endo and I've finally managed to get pregnant with IVF after 5years of trying. I'd be soooo grateful if fellow endo ladies could enlighten me. Midwives are clueless about endo😔 I was set on getting a planned c section, but I'm now thinking about a pool birth without

Induction tomorrow / c-section as back up
So, going in for an induction tomorrow at 40+4 and if no joy, booked in for a c-section. Happy to read about other people’s similar experiences. No complications with me as such, I am 40yo however and have been worried about baby being over due as there are more risks once baby is overdue. He’s ready

Should I be pushing and explore what could my pain be instead of assuming it’s endometriosis
Since have my c-section last April I have been suffering with bloat, lower back pain, pain ful ovulation, heavy periods! The pain is awful all month long. The bloat is causing so much discomfort. I got referred to the gynaecologist and he believes it’s endometriosis he’s put me on the pill and wants

Just sharing to give hope to all our fellow IVF warriors out there. After 5 transfers (4 failed, 1 miscarriage (plus another natural miscarriage) during the past 5 years, 2 weeks ago today we welcomed our beautiful baby boy. Born at 37 weeks by c-section due to placenta praevia but weighing in at 8 pounds

40+1 with grade3 piles opt for c-section?
So the piles seem to have come back with a vengeance and now I’m obviously worried about trying to give vaginal birth as that will just make them worse. Thinking of electing for c-section. I don’t want to end up with worse piles and not being able to give birth vaginally and ending up having to have
