Nighttime angina
I have mild ischaemic heart disease and had occasional exercise-related attacks of angina which now seem well-controlled on Nicorandil 10mg, half-tablet am and pm. A few months ago, I had surgery on a badly-broken femur, and a number of temporary medications including morphine and codeine. Since then

Family planning and treatment options (Graves)
I am planning on trying to get pregnant in the next year or so. I don't know if I should have permeant treatment (Radioactive Iodine (RAI) or surgery) or stick to ATD (antithyroid drugs) before hand. Hospital doctor/nurse have given me a standard RAI leaflet and explained some of the pros and cons

Think I'm just starting out... Heart Inflammation/Myocarditis
Hi all, I've replied to a couple of posts so far but not actually written one myself. I'm not usually one for writing spiels but I'm wondering if it might be cathartic for me, and maybe someone can offer more insight, or get some from this. This seems to be a lovely, supporting space from what I've

Another private blood test for advice please
Hi all, I’m not quite sure if I’ve gone from one extreme to the other with TSH maybe in the last few months. Here is my latest test result (done early without meds etc) (I’m Graves’ disease, had RAI 2017 and currently on 100 levo and my own added T3 which I’m not sure I should drop this or reduce

How long has it take RAI to work for you?
Hi All, My hyper battle has been ongoing for 4 years. First time it settled quicky with Carbimazole and relapsed after stopping, I have now been on Carbimazole for over 3 years, with the only break being for my RAI treatment. So my RAI treatment was 10th May and I restarted Carbimazole 20mg a day

Ongoing fatigue following thyroidectomy due to cancer
In 2019 I had a full thyroidectomy and RAI treatment due to cancer. Since then I have had problems with fatigue, which I understand is not unusual after this type of treatment. I was given125mcg Levothyroxine initially but this caused near hyperthyroidism, I am at present on 100mcg but find I am still

T3 only - Thyroid less.
Hi my thyroid was removed approximately 6 years ago thyroid cancer. Radioactive iodine followed straight after in a cell for 3 - 4 days and lucky I appear to be free of cancer. I have a resistance to T4 so have only ever taken T3 120 ug spread over the day. My problem is the feeling of total exhaustion

Advice please re removal of mercury fillings and detoxing
I had most of my amalgam fillings removed about 20 years ago to try to help relieve migraines, but for some reason there are a couple left. I had a blood test for heavy metals and mercury was found, so I have been advised to have the remaining amalgam removed biologically to try to lessen hypo symptoms

Pregabalin, Dosage thoughts?
Hi, I restarted Pregabalin in Feb. this year partly I have to say out of desperation, there being nothing else prescribeable available to me, GP had allowed me to trial Codeine but it took 90mg to suppress symptoms and there was no way that was going to be viable long term, more potent Opioids were

Just received the full copy of my blood test where I can see my TSI
My TSI is 1.20 (0.00 - 2.00) Does it mean that I ddi not have Graves and RAI is not right treatment for me? Thank you very much for your opinions.

CBD oil for pain?
hi folks. Anyone use CBD oil for pain? Now that I cannot take NSAIDs I have a huge rise in anti inflamm pain. I have tried codeine with no impact. Also not wanting opioids. Not sure what to try next but someone mentioned CBD Oil. Any help would be hugely appreciated. My go to meds are paracetamol

Doctor says its dangerous to take carbimazol for long time and advise RAI considering its less harmful...
I just saw today my doctor and asked her why I can not continue my treatment with carbimazol(I feel good but just have big goiter) She insisted that taking carbimazol for life is not posible, that I will have the complications with heart because of it. Is it true? (I was taking 5mg ,now she wants

Armour or the single pill - hair loss
Hi Has anyone got Hashimotos and tried Armour or been on the progesterone only pill? As about three months ago I went from NP to Armour NDT as my TSH was nearly 4.5 taking 1.5 grains of NP (I have always taken 1.5 of WP and done ok on this) But then at the same time I also changed from the depo injection
