Breathlessness and Hypothyroidism?

Thyroid Test Result
Hi Everyone Just to give you a brief history, I was diagnosed with Graces Disease in 2007, I had RAI treatment in 2008. Since then I have had a yearly blood test which have always been within the normal range. I don’t take thyroxine, I’m 67years of age. The symptoms I’ve got now is tiredness, constipation

Rai question
I'm just wondering about RAI (not relevant now but I'm doing research for future) when you have toxic nodules. Is it true that the radioactive solution just kills the nodules or is the whole thyroid destroyed? Does hypothyroidism always happen? If you had no TED before is it safe in terms of eye issues

Any advice for pain for a broken shoulder
I will try not to offend anyone haha. Could anyone give me some advice for my husband? 3 weeks ago he had a nasty fall playing walking football he is 73 years old and very fit. He broke his shoulder, bruised his ribs and his arm turned black and blue. Since then he has been to orthopedics to check

CLL History
When I was first diagnosed the names we followed with great care were Dr Kanti Rai, Dr Terry Hamblin, and Dr Michael Keating. These men were the true pioneers in diagnosing CLL and providing some relief from this disease, about which little was known previously. Thus it is with sincere thanks that

Reintroducing DA at a low dose?
What is the current thinking around taking a low dose of a dopamine agonist in conjunction with another RLS medication? I took pramipexole ten years ago and experienced augmentation after approximately 12 months. Fortunately I didn't experience DAWS when coming off it. I have been on pregabalin for

Iodine avidity in papillary and poorly differentiated thyroid cancer is predicted by immunohistochemical and molecular work-up
In order for radio-iodine treatment to work, the radioactive iodine has to be taken into the target tissue. "Avidity" is how strong the uptake of iodine into the tissue is. The higher the avidity, the better at absorbing iodine, and the more likely the treatment is to be successful. Hence understanding

Radioactive Iodine
Hi. I'm nearly 70. male. Previously well, 4 months ago I developed palpitations. Turned out to be atrial fibrillation. Bisoprolol stopped it. They took an armful of blood and amongst all the normals my TSH was unrecordable, T3 26 (3.3-6.1) T4 49 (11.5-22.4). With Carbimazole my T3 is now 5.1 and

Update on rls
Hello everyone, just an update to let you know how I have been getting on since coming off the dopamine agonist. It's around 3 months now since I took my last tiny piece of pramipexole, after a pretty rough time of crawling legs, arms, shoulder shivers, I'm finally getting better!!! While coming off

codeine
I’m just wondering if taking a 60mg dose of codeine each night is addictive? I’m only taking codeine occasionally at other times if I’m in agony with my other health problems. I’ve noticed that it helps my RLS calm immensely when taken with or a low dose of pramiprexole. I also find a hot way bottle

Continuing problems after RAI treatment
Fifteen months ago I had RAI treatment to destroy my thyroid as the Consultant said it could no longer be treated with carbimazole as it was affecting my white blood cell count. So eventually, despite not wanting to, I had the treatment. As I had had an underactive thyroid for 12 years before it changed

So I had to stop the codeine as awful headaches every time I took it , the last two nights I’ve hardly had any rls, maybe the iron working ?? I checked my diary and it’s the exact same date last month that I had 7 days almost free of it ,then it came back really bad again , it’s got to be hormonal for

Too much thyroxine?
Hi, Please can someone help me? I have Hashimotos, Sjogrens & Antiphosphilipid syndrome. Has anyone experienced continuous rolling migraines for a week? I don’t usually suffer from migraines, other than the odd visual aura if my INR drops below 2. For the last week I have had frequent daily auras

Venting about a poor night, again and no relief in sight
This is more of a desperate rant than anything else -- I wish I was outside today, in the sun and enjoying life. Instead I'm in bed feeling wiped. Last night I tried codeine, again. Only this time i tried a much higher dose. All previous times I've used codeine it's either worked alright or not very
