Asthma Newby Seeking Advice
I’m relatively new to the problems with Asthma and would be grateful for some advice. I was diagnosed with Asthma 4 years ago and for the majority of that time I took 1 puff of my inhaler in the morning and never had any symptoms in just under 4 years. At the end of last October I had a viral infection

Trinity researchers make asthma breakthrough.
Researchers from Trinity have made a breakthrough that may eventually lead to improved therapeutic options for people living with asthma. The researchers have uncovered a critical role for a protein (Caspase-11), which had previously never been implicated in the disease. https://www.tcd.ie/news_events

I’ve been diagnosed with adult onset asthma a four years ago. I’m 54. Diagnosed after a respiratory tract infection- no spiromtry or other tests I’ve read about on here. For the first couple of years I didn’t have symptoms most of the time- only when I had a cold. I could go without Clenil or Ventolin

I’m sick
My asthma is normally very well controlled and I usually only need to take about two puffs of Ventolin per week, plus my preventer. I’ve had two regular colds recently, both with a temperature and about two weeks apart. (And a runny nose, which for those who are wondering, is not a feature of the Coronavirus

Quorn asthma cause?
Have been trying to trace why I developed asthma late on life. Recently had a really bad bout of stomach pains and violent sickness after eating Quorn and on looking back realised I only really developed asthma after giving up meat. Soy products seem fine but I think I may have bad reaction to the Quorn

Anyone use CBD for asthma?
Has anyone tried taking CBD oil for the asthma, obviously alongside their asthma meds. Not instead of. If so did it help and what form did you use? Not talking about stuff with THC. I mean legally available supplements.

Early exposure to household cleaning products is associated with asthma and wheeze in young children.
The prevalence of childhood asthma has steadily increased over the past several decades and is now a leading cause of childhood chronic disease and admissions to hospital in developed countries, making it a priority for clinicians, researchers and the public. The first months of life are critical for

Green Phlegm but no Chest Infection
I having been coughing up green phlegm for a fortnight now and are now on my second 5 day course of Amoxicillin. My doctor says that my chest is clear so I do not have a chest infection. I asked her if green phlegm was something asthma sufferers had to live with and she said that whilst asthma can cause

Life is a Wonderful Thing
On the 15th October 2013 I kissed Jayne goodbye with the usual “see you later” and went off to my job - the Service Manager of the local BMW Dealer, the trade I’d been in since starting as an Apprentice Mechanic in 1980. Rewind to the Thursday, 2 weeks prior. I’d complained of a nagging headache and

Hi guys. Big updates on me today. On 12 February I went back to my country to carry all the exams for suspected asthma. Well, spyrometry, feno were normal, as I am taking clenil 4 puffs per days from 23 January. But impulse oscillometry IOS test came out abnormal with moderate peripheral airway dysfunction

Silent asthma attack and c25k
So having being told yesterday I had a silent asthma attack, and which from start of symptoms through to finally breathing normally again without dizziness lasted from approx 12pm until around 9.30pm, I really don’t know where I stand with continuing c25k. I will have to speak to the GP about it on

Silent asthma attack
Hi all, had a first for me yesterday having suffered with asthma for nearly the 30 years. Ended up calling 111 who promptly sent an ambulance out yesterday resulting in a lot of hours at the local A&E. I was told I’d had what is essentially a silent asthma attack which I had never heard of before. No

Doctor refuses to give me VItamin B12 injections
I’ve had crohns for a long time and in 1996 I had and ileostomy and then a further two small bowel resections For the last 17 years I’ve had B12 injections every three months. I moved 180 miles away from my surgery where I used to go. I now have a doctor who refuses my B12 injection saying I don’t need

Living with mild asthma
I am very lucky having mild asthma since I had my first son developing asthma during pregnancy. I have symbicort turbohaler which I take 1puff twice a day, which increases up to 12 if I have a bad chest cough. I also have montelucast at night. So I feel really lucky, having seen really sick children
