Hot and spicy food and my personal brand of asthma are not friends. I can’t do anything ‘worse’ than a tikka or VERY mild chilli con carne. Crispy chilli beef usually is enough to have me reaching for salbutamol. But hey it is what it is. 😅
I hope that helps
Same here. Sets me off coughing and wheezing and then 'the attack' etc. Also have to be careful as it does appear in some prescribed pain killing creams for arthritis
I can't tolerate anything spicy as it makes me wheezy and breathless.
I also wheeze if I eat food from places like Burger King or McDonalds. Even some Chinese meals set me off - anything that could contain colourings or monosodium glutamate.
I'm supposed to avoid food preservatives but these days that's difficult if cheating with ready meals or eating out.
But there is still lots of choice and I'm grateful no sensitivity is severe or life threatening.
Yes! Chili, paprika- anything too spicy sets me off. I've taken to mentioning it at restaurants now as I went through a phase of ordering food that all seemed to come sprinkled with paprika 🤷🏼♀️
