Weaning off inhalers
Hi there, I was diagnosed with asthma last year and had lung function tests recently. I got a letter from the consultant saying that I don’t have asthma and to wean off the inhalers. I appreciate that I shouldn’t ask for medical advice here but I haven’t a clue how to do this. I’m currently on flutiform

Asthma flare after covid vaccine
Has anyone had an asthma flare up after a covid vaccine (astrazeneca)? It could be complete coincidence, but my asthma is being an absolute pain and not responding as well as normal to ventolin (though interestingly is responding to extra formoterol). I am wondering if there's a link, as my asthma

Hi everyone. I have been on one puff of Symbicort 200/6 for over a year now, and my asthma seems very well controlled. I saw my specialist today and he remarked that I could try stopping the med all together, ie not taking the puff at night anymore. I am a little scared to do so, having this idea that

So diagnosis and plan... I think...😂🤣🤞🏽🦄
You know the history asthma, not asthma, asthma, not asthma... breathing pattern disorder (BPD) anxiety... (well that bit I was confident it was not) long covid, freak, alien whatever 🤷♀️. Very long and dramatic as always.. but short version (I'll try) 😆 2nd opinion yesterday 🙄 mannitol doesn't

the dreaded ca125 check......
It’s now 4 years since my initial diagnosis of stage 3b PPC/Ovarian cancer. I’ve been suffering from stomach pains since my stomach reversal in September 2019, and recently had a colonoscopy which was normal and am now awaiting a contrast follow through X-ray. As I’m sure you can imagine, this increases

Late asthma diagnosis + regular low peak flow
Hi all, hope you are well. I was diagnosed with asthma last year just after the pandemic kicked off, as such it's been quite an isolating experience getting support. It started off with me getting chest tightness, in particular at night, as well as wheezing. Was given blue inhaler over phone by GP not

Overweight and asthma
Hi all I am struggling a bit at the moment and i am tending to overthink things with my asthma. Not that long ago i had a CT scan on my lungs to see if there was anybother damage to my lungs other than some slight scarring on the bottom of my lungs and thankfully all was ok and my bloods were all ok

Obstructive asthma or Asthma - COPD overlap - confused
Hi I have posted on here about my overuse of Salbutamol and my GP practice asthma nurse wanting to stop it! Big red flag and a lot of stress for me. Anyway long story short agreed to further investigations and tests. Peak flow best is 250 - 200 I feel ok on this with help of salbutamol in the day.

ANXIETY SUFFERERS - WHICH INHALER? Asthma/COPD
Hi All, I suffer from anxiety issues and formoteral (Fostair, Symbicort) seems to make this worse, if you suffer from anxiety, which inhaler do you take for asthma/COPD? Been around the houses with most inhalers and can not find the right one without horrible symptoms! Please help if you can. Thanks

Asthma attack and A&E
My husband has allergic asthma and Eosinophilic asthma and for the last 2 weeks has been unable to keep these under control. We have had little help from the GP and he was told to continue what he was doing but take a covid test to be safe.( which was negative). He was then asked to take another one

Full Hysterectomy with Ovary Removal and Stoma
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with Endo after failed fertility treatment three years ago at the age of 39. After numerous scans, laparoscopy, MRI and sigmoidoscopy, the option suggested is a full hysterectomy with ovary removal and sigmoid colon resection due to scar tissue thickening a portion of it.
