Full Hysterectomy with Ovary Removal and Stoma

Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with Endo after failed fertility treatment three years ago at the age of 39. After numerous scans, laparoscopy, MRI and sigmoidoscopy, the option suggested is a full hysterectomy with ovary removal and sigmoid colon resection due to scar tissue thickening a portion of it. As the scar tissue is also in my blood vessels, and nerve system in my pelvis, there is no guarantee of it taking away all my pain. I would have to have a stoma for at least 6 months plus menopause to go through (though helped by hormones). Am conflicted about what to do, as with any surgery there is a risk - apart from anything else, of having a colostomy for the rest of my days. Has anyone else had anything similar?
