Good Day Hope everyone is looking forward to the relaxation of lockdown regulations, I am . I have been prescribed for my 4 lung problems but the specialist says that I do not have COPD but has prescribed Spiriva but when I research this drug it says that it is not for asthma and only for COPD. Might not be asthma
Hi, new here. I’m seeking some ideas here. I’ve been treated for asthma for over 20 years. I’ve had new inhalers recently but resorted to ones I’ve been taking for some time. In December I became unwell. My go gave me prednisone for a week. That did nothing. He diagnosed a virus (not covid). Still struggling

Fewer people sought medical help for severe asthma attacks during the COVID-19 pandemic
Fewer patients with severe attacks were seen by their GP or admitted to hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, and fewer were admitted to hospital for pneumonia, influenza and chronic lung diseases, show findings from three papers published online in the journal Thorax. Severe asthma and general anaesthetic
I was due to have an op about 2 weeks ago (ended up having a severe asthma attack and spent 2 weeks in hosp) but didn't have it and they changed their minds and said it was too risky with my asthma being so severe. Well they've phoned today and booked it in for thr 19th April, it's a removal of cysts

Stopping smoking with asthma...
Hi, I'm giving up smoking today and I've got 3 more days, out of 10, on my steriods after asthma attacks. I guess my biggest worry is I hear you bring up phlegm in the first week or two of giving up and was wondering could this set off another asthma attack... Or have people had situations where it

Running with asthma
I have asthma and mild bronchiectasis. I run around once/twice a week- around 3-5k so not very much. I’ve been on Fostair for a couple of years but don’t seem to be getting any benefit from it and still feel like I need my ventolin before exercise. Has anyone swapped to seretide and seen an improvement

Hyperactive airways?
Hi, so in December 2019 I was referred to the hospital chest clinic for testing. There they performed an x-ray, spirometry, blood test etc and the doctor who did this mentioned hyperactive airway sensitivity. I didn't receive a letter from the doctor with results - however they put me on the brown inhaler

Endo surgery (stage 4) advice!
Hi everyone! :) I got diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis by MRI 3 years ago and have been managing with running the pill through, and then just codiene since stopping the pill. It's deeply infiltrating in my bowel and I also have a large endometrioma on my ovary. They offered me big scary surgery

Chronic Side Effects of Asthma Medications
I joined this group some two months ago, soon after being been diagnosed with underlying asthma. At that time, I had been prescribed Forstair 100/6 and have tried the pressurised inhaler and NEXThaler fine powder options, both of which evoked horrendous side effects of hoarseness, dry mouth ulcers and

does my asthma going to be cured? do running long distance by cycle bad for asthma?
I struggled with asthma during winter, I switched from fostair to clenil last 2 months 4 puffs a day 2 morning and 2 evening, I don't advice anyone to change to clenil, but my asthma maybe different, it response to fostair as well as clenil, so I changed to clenil because I think it safer to my body,

Asthma candle memories.
Hey all. I wonder if anyone can remember. My mum used to light some kind of candle in my bedroom at night when my asthma was bad. I remember it had a strong smell. This was back in the 80/90s. Does anyone else rembember it or what it was called?

A big hooray for a good asthma nurse!
Today I had the first proper-ish annual asthma review for two years. Last year I was vaguely triaged for one, and was fine, but by now issues had cropped up, especially my new, strange AAP, but also having had a few incidents in the last few months. This nurse, who I have met before, was great! Some

So Scared
Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with radiation enteritis and I am too scared to eat. The doctor told me I need a 3rd stoma and he wouldn’t listen to my concerns. He discharged me because I wouldn’t have a 3rd stoma and refused to give me any diet advice or refer me to a nutritionist. I worry if my
