Pain and the Brain
Hello everyone. How are you all doing? Can you remember the early days of the course and how the pain really works in our bodies? What techniques do you use to turn the 'volume down'? For example, I find breathing exercises really helpful

RLS and now apnea
I've had RLS for over 5 decades now, and have survived by changing drugs when each one has become ineffective. The latest drug--a semi-opioid called buprenorphine--has been the best! However, I now have central sleep apnea greatly interfering with sleep. I wake up tired and am tired throughout the day

I'm new here
Anyone else had symptoms progress from manageable to very, very frightening? Had my first episode of AF in 2010 but because it was so infrequent, I didn’t get a proper diagnosis of PAF until several years later and that was only because I bought my own Kardia monitor. I was prescribed apixaban but I

Iightheadeness
On Jan 1 2020 I was doing a
breathing
exercise
for asthma from watching YouTube. At the end of the exercise the man moves his head side to side for about 15 secs. After doing this within 5 mins I started feeling flush and sick and started feeling weird.

EMDR
Hi everyone New here but I just wanted to share my experience of treatment with EMDR for anyone considering it or potentially struggling with it. I have been having EMDR since October and I won't lie, it is draining and it takes a lot of work. But I really have started to see a difference in myself

Simple Vagus nerve exercise might help posture, muscle tone, breathing and more.
I don't know if this is effective, but there is no downside....20 second video is further down. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-10059589/Osteopath-reveals-vagus-nerve-hack-improve-posture-open-chest-boost-energy.html

Psychotherapy, activate and release
Does anyone have a video of the correct posture for the
breathing
exercise
in psychotherapy... From what I know you sit with your legs at a 90 degree angle, lean back in your chair with your head against something and then move it up as you breathe in.

Told not to
exercise
so much because of Ankles
breathing
difficulty due to pressure from constipation. Now saying water tablets / laxative or more degrading than that to be given an ennama on a ward with only one toilet and 5 mobile patients do l have any dignity left to take away !!

Advice on power breathe and flutter.
I’ve read that breathing exercises help with many lung conditions. I’ve COPD and take Braltus and ventolin if needed. Does any one have knowledge of Powerbreathe and Flutter devices, please? I’d really like to do more for my health and feel less constricted with breathing. With many thanks. xx🤗

Back in AF after ablation
It's a post I didn't want to write! But I get great comfort reading others here so it's best I share too. I had an ablation in July 2020. Been a success apart from one tachycardia ep coming off the meds. Last night, I was feeling light headed at the gym doing deadlifts with a PT (thought nothing of it

Exercise advice
I'm hoping someone here might be able advise on exercise for people with AF. My background is: I am 55 years-old, had a heart attack 4-years ago (stent inserted); AF a year later; another fast AF a couple of months ago. I was admitted to A&E, and after 12-hours was restored to sinus rythmn after lots
