What is role of hormonal therapy drug when taken with targeted therapy, eg Piqray or Ibrance?
I’ve been curious about this and wondering if anyone can explain. I want to better understand the role of the hormone therapy eg Faslodex when taken with targeted therapy such as Ibrance. Does it just reduce the amount of estrogen available to the cell and “lightens the load” on the targeted therapy?

hi everyone, my dad has had MBC since June of 2022. He has been on Ibrance, letrozole, lupron, and xjeva. His Mets were to bone and then he was NED for a year from June 2022 to June 2023. In July he took a PET scan and it showed a slight uptake of activity to his chest wall. Plan was to keep him on

Radiotherapy
Next week I go for radiotherapy for a lumpectomy. I have 5 days of it, being fair skinned I am worried about the 'sunburn' effect that it will probably have on me, as I stay out of the sun due to burning. Not to mention, the feeling sick! Any suggestions please?

stevia sweetener and breast cancer
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8874712/ After many years of genuine concerns about the use of sweeteners while battling
breast
cancer
, it seems that there is a natural sweetener that is actually good for people with certain kinds of cancers.

18F-sodium fluoride PET-CT appeared to be a more accurate identifier of bone metastases in patients with prostate cancer.
An evaluable imaging core population that included 204 patients with prostate
cancer
and 57 with
breast
cancer
was extracted from this enrolled cohort. Median ages were 68.8 (95% CI, 63.0-74.4) and 58.5 years (95% CI, 49.7-66.8) in the prostate and
breast
cancer
groups, respectively.
