Tumour marker
I have been in Ibrance, Letrozole and six monthly Denusomab shots for 3 years and 9 months with NEADs from the first Pet scan. C15.3 and CEA have fluctuated within the normal range since. PET scan in Sep 23 also showed NEADs. Recent bloods in Thursday showed c15.3 rise to above the normal range

Does having CLL really make you 3 times more likely to get (another) cancer, and does CLL treatment add to the risk? - Part 1
• For several of the SPMs listed the absolute excess risk (AER) is modest to negligible, e.g. myeloid blood
cancer
,
breast
, ovarian and endometrial cancers.

Just wondering about Oral Xeloda after 6 rounds of IV Chemo didnt have the exact desired results we wanted. Wondering if there are times Xeloda achieved clear Margins on Liver Mets when IV Chemo didnt after 6rounds. Thanks for any input.

A little bit of (unashamed) own trumpet blowing
I had
breast
cancer
before the thyroid cancer, that rather slowed me down too, and to be honest I wasn't really much faster than this before either illness, so I am dead chuffed with this today. Splits were 8:08, 8:04, 8:01, 8:08, 7:49. I reckon I've got a bit more in me too...

They are indicating they may have a key to no more progression with these two types of

, and possibly others as well. Fingers crossed, hopes up, and prayers......This may be a huge and significant step forward for all of us!!

Xeloda and Zoladex?
Hi everyone, hoping someone can help clear this up for me. Last week I shifted to Xeloda from Piqray. I asked my oncologist about whether I continue with monthly shots of Zoladex, which are administered by my GP, and she seemed a bit unsure, then said no. I left the hospital without much confidence and

Running again- Thank goodness
Back from
breast
cancer
, I have decided to get myself fit again. I have run long distances for most of my adult life (apart from kiddy times). So my plan is to do C25K without rest days (only Sunday off) to get back there ASAP :)

Decision time!
After finding out I had progression to my liver in July and acute side effects to Everolimus after only 6 weeks, I have been advised there is further progression to my liver. So I now face the dilemma of no treatment and at best 6 months, or choice of chemo. My oncologist has given me 3 options, oral

Unmetabolized Estrogen (Depurinated Adducts) How I got PCa and how to prevent and detect it.
High levels of depurinating estrogen-DNA adducts before the presence of

HRT Question
I’m a bit anxious as my mother’s sister had
breast
cancer
(I don’t know if she was on HRT, I’m not in touch with her). I guess I have the same questions re the Utrogestan. Do I need more and how do I know how much I’ll need?

In 2021 I was diagnosed with a very early
breast
cancer
for which I had a lumpectomy, 4 (clear) lymph nodes taken, and put on aromatose inhibitor drugs (to prevent my body making oestrogen and help prevent the cancer recurring.)

End of IBrance …
After 6 months of consistently rising tumor markers and increasing back and leg pain, a recent flurry of scans and an MRI have finally brought us to the realization that the IBrance and Anastrozole combo is failing to control the bone Mets in my pelvis, sacrum and L5. I’m in the process of starting

What was your lumpectomy recovery like?
I have a surgery date in a month for lumpectomy. I'm starting to rethink that. How was lumpectomy for you? Pain, mobility, appetite, appearance, etc.

Sister has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer
Now we have just found out my younger sister (37) has
breast
cancer
. I’m so scared I’m going to lose her too. She has had mammogram, biopsy and ultrasound where they found 2 more lumps (3 total).I’m distraught and trying to be brave. Mum is in bits and I don’t know what to do to help.
