BRCA +ve with OC. The options for breast cancer prevention.

Have any of you gone on to develop breast cancer? At the moment I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with all the constant bad news So I can't really think about breast cancer too. I certainly want to reduce my risk as mush as possible. I'm 54.

Interested in targeted drugs? Here's some basic information

Targeted drugs seem to be the most often prescribed intervention for those of us with ER+ HER2- metastasized breast cancer. Research is even being done to develop a form of palbociclib to use as adjuvant therapy in early BC.

Radiation and CLL?

They removed two more lymph nodes and they were clear for breast cancer but still showed up the CLL. I’m on W&W. Does this mean all lymph nodes if tested would show CLL? Would having radiation do any damage to CLL?

Newbie on the site - Breast Cancer IDC & HER2

I was diagnosed with early stage Breast cancer in late November. I had the lumpectomy and node biopsy late January and had my first weekly chemo last week (Taxol weekly + Herceptin every 3 weeks). Is anyone else on the same treatment plan?

Cancer again

Has anyone gotten a secondary cancer while on W & W ? I had breast cancer two years ago and had a lumpectomy with no chemo or radiation. My cancer is now back in same breast. Thinking of a mastectomy this time but still concerned that the CLL might be an underlying cause.

Hi Everyone, My mum completed 15 fractions of radiotherapy during her breast cancer treatment and we have now learnt that this has caused fibrosis of her left lung. Does anyone have any information on this? I have been on Google and scared myself senseless! Thanks x

Although this is the best news ever, I do however take nothing for granted and will be forever thankful to the Breast Cancer team at my local hospital, my family and friends - but most of all the lovely people on here for their love and support 💖

Is discharge from breast something to be concerned about?

I do not have breast cancer, but I'm high risk due to family history and I had a lumpectomy last year due to ADH. I'm about to turn 60 and a few weeks ago, I started noticing a small amount of clear discharge from my left breast only.
